Why don’t baseball teams remove the catcher when nobody is on base and let him play the field ?

you could just get rid of the umps, his job isn't really needed with new tech. Getting rid of the Ump would speed up the game too (only getting rid of the ump)

The bigger question is why at most ball parks is it old guys that look on work release sell beer in the stands. Why not have good looking girls

5.02 Fielding PositionsWhen the ball is put in play at the start of, or during a game, allfielders other than the catcher shall be on fair territory.(a) The catcher shall station himself directly back of the plate. Hemay leave his position at any time to catch a pitch or make aplay except that when the batter is being given an intentionalbase on balls, the catcher must stand with both feet within thelines of the catcher’s box until the ball leaves the pitcher’s hand.PENALTY: Balk.(b) The pitcher, while in the act of delivering the ball to the batter,shall take his legal position;(c) Except the pitcher and the catcher, any fielder may station himselfanywhere in fair territory
