You need WIFI, but once you have that streaming TV beats the crap out of cable and no great reason for a home phone

who needs a bundle of internet, TV, andhome phone when only one is needed ?

Haven't had a landline since college.
Haven't had cable since 2016.
$75/month for fast internet, a couple streaming boxes, and a work cell phone. No need for anything else.

I have neither. But i have to admit that cable had very few quality issues compared to streaming.
I live with the problems because of the extreme price difference.

Android box $16 / month. (yes, i now there are some without fees)
Cable at least $120 / month if you want a lot of sports.

exactly, no need for a home phone unless you still use a fax machine

a business needs one, however

screw the cable entirely

I get virtually everything for $15 a month, a bit of buffering at times, but I can always move onto something else and resume what I was watching before ( unless live).

Comcast can kiss my (__8__).

I have both.

Cable- i pay a SHITLOAD. Wouldnt mind cutting the cord but curious to know how i can keep all the stations that i like.
Landline- i have, dont pay alot but i think its important in case of emergency (calling 911). I dont like talking on my cell phone much and prefer a landline (i dont talk on phone much when i'm home anyways)

my guy sells a firestick that he programs with dozens of apps he installs, he will also give you all the technical support you need

It's like $110-115, first month free, then $15, and it won't get jacked

i'm totally satisfied

Bushay my guy wants a download speed of 100mbps, mine is 20-25 and works just fine

streaming is never going to match cable in quality, but it is damn close, and you get way more, it may occasionally buffer on a particular channel, but not all

you will never go back

try one Bushaybox or Diegobox on one TV and test it out, you need one per TV

I’m and out of work casino guy.

I’ve been delivering groceries in Sun City FL, lots of old folk, I keep them in their home where they belong.

Amazing how many of these old folk won’t give up the land line.

This +1

about 1 1/2 ago I almost bleed out on MY kitchen floor...

head wound after a fall...I had ONE chance to call 911...

as I lay in MY PILE OF BLOOD...

I kick the land line of the smaller counter and THAT SAVED MY LIFE...

2 THINGS...

when you swim in blood on a hardwood floor...YOU CAN NOT MOVE...TRUST ME...

A GREAT FRIEND of mine is a Hunter...

He was AMAZED I WAS ALIVE...

After looking at the blood scene..

He thought I had a GUNSHOT to the back of my head...

TRUE STORY...

So, C.P., you fell in just the right place where you could reach a landline.

what if you fell in the bathroom, instead ?

if that is your only justification for having a lifeline, you'd be better off with a service like Lifealert or similar, or wear your cellphone around your neck

I can't see any real strong argument for a landline or cable, unless you lack wifi

if a senior or someone that just wants a basic cellphone, you should check out

www.consumercellular.com

it's $20/month

no doubt it was life threatening and you fell in the right place, but I don't see that stroke of luck justifying a landline for all

a cell phone fits most way better

everybody and their dog has a cellphone, the landline is redundant
