Why do some posters "Announce" they are leaving??

I know this guys...they need attention and to be frank I do not mind giving them some. I am actually saddened when most posters decide to leave as in "Don Marco's case. This guy posted he is moving and leaving the site not for attention just to say goodbye for now.


But to constantly post "im leaving" and never leave is a cry for help I agree.

I don't know why people announce they are leaving? But I would like to announce I am here! now let me see if this works in reverse and posters beg me to leave.
