He knows it but is he not trying to kick a field goal? Run a screen, take a shot deep, or at the very least run the ball and see what you get. He had 3 timeouts and used none of them before the half, when the Dolphins had a 4th down with 1:45 left clock running. He lets it run all the way under 1:10. They get it back and run the clock out. Why the fuck not call a timeout first and then run the ball. Are you THAT scared of Miami’s offense? What a joke. He’s an overrated coach. Lot of people call him a genius and a lot of their fans would never question him

Never mind the bs, man. I don't know what his reasoning was for that end of half fold, but I can assure you that he didn't fuck up. He knew exactly what he was doing.

As for "overrated coach", that is simply the dumbest thing ever said on this board. Inside his hoodie he has more football knowledge than you and all your Baltimore brothers combined. His record speaks for itself. Best coach ever and it's not even close. And you sure don't need to be from New England to recognize that.

What happened ?

The end of the first half is what the opening post says. 1:40ish, 2 timeouts to get ball back to end 2nd half and he just chose to go into half.

End of game, he let Miami just run clock all the way down despite having 3 timeouts so after Miami finally scored, NE had 24 seconds left to get into FG range.

He was a fish today.

It happens....Still gonna smash Titans, Chiefs, Ravens, Saints in that order to hoist #7.

You can be the greatest coach of all time that don’t mean you can’t fuck up.

There is no way you can say he did not fuck up if he wanted to win the game.

They not gonna get those 5 time outs carried over to the next game

Final eight games

NE 4-4 (+6 point diff)
TEN 5-3 (+58 pd)
KC 7-1 (+98 pd)
BAL 8-0 (+178 pd)

One of these teams is not like the others

A free bye week is always nice but I’m starting to think maybe Belichek didn’t really care if they lost the more I think about it. Because of the path. It wasn’t a must win situation. Not saying he threw the game but the path is not bad for the 3 seed in the afc East. Now they get Titans....? And then on the road at KC? Not the worst path in their minds maybe. But that doesn’t change the fact that they suck

Maybe he was trying to have a healthy team and not trying to win a game that probably means nothing.

so he wants a healthy team so he decided let’s play an extra game and skip the 2 weeks off .
Brilliant idea

He did the same thing in the SB vs the Hawks. Sat on two time outs with a minute to go, and the defense held.

This time it backfired.

Belichick tries not to show everything before the playoffs, likes to save a few wrinkles. But it may have backfired today, I'm sure he wanted a bye week and a home game vs KC.

TN will be no cakewalk either

As for the timeouts, he wanted to put the game / time pressure on Miami. Let them feel hurried, worked in the SB vs Seattle, didn't work yesterday

Their run of consecutive appearances in the conference championship game is in serious jeopardy.

But I'll give them a chance still, albeit as longshots

There are smarter coaches believe me. Maybe not in the NFL. But all over the world many different sports. Belicheat isn’t even in the top 10 of all time great coaches. Maybe top 25. Maybe. He overthinks way too much.

I’ve seen coaches call a timeout to get the ball back there for some of the worst QBs ever to play. Belichek doesn’t even do it for Brady?

I’d be shocked if it’s not Brady’s last year there. Probably something physical. How do you win like that? Letting the clock run out on purpose in a tie game with 1:45 left all 3 timeouts? Who does that

Probably at least 15 basketball coaches way smarter than this weirdo fuck. At least 3-4 soccer coaches who are complete geniuses. This guy thought he could win with his defense and special teams yesterday LOL. The Dolphins came out first time they touched the ball in the 2h they went down and scored a touchdown LMFAOOOOO. First drive!!!! Out of halftime.

So much for your precious adjustments. Actually only thing that kept them in that game was their offense LOL. Fucking moron. Defense was getting torched. The suppose to be best corner in the league was getting torched

he was afraid that if he failed to get a big gain on first down miami would get the ball back with their 3 timeouts and plenty of time. so he let the clock run down to get to 1:10 and when failing on his plan to get the big gain on first down decided to just run out the half since they were getting the ball in the 2nd. actually a brilliant move as it ensured no possibility of miami scoring again in the 1st half.

Brilliant move eh? Lmfao. Ok.

Miami had two timeouts so they could’ve only stopped it twice...but we all know Miami isn’t stopping the clock on a first down run there by New England. Would never happen. It’s the Miami Dolphins and you’re at home and if you don’t think you can drive into FG position and score with the ball at your own 30 then you need to retire.

What I think it really is Brady is probably hurt.
