Used to be pretty common before the NFL became such a passing league. Doesn't happen as often now since teams know they can go between the 20's pretty fast with how good most teams have become in the hurry up.
To end the game was worse though, kept 3 timeouts in his pocket as clock wasn't an issue at all for Miami.
I understand the end of the game more. He had faith in his defense. No idea why tho. Fitz was milking them.
What he told me before the end of the first half by letting the clock run out, was.....”we suck on offense and we will make adjustments at half so they won’t score.”

He knows it but is he not trying to kick a field goal? Run a screen, take a shot deep, or at the very least run the ball and see what you get. He had 3 timeouts and used none of them before the half, when the Dolphins had a 4th down with 1:45 left clock running. He lets it run all the way under 1:10. They get it back and run the clock out. Why the fuck not call a timeout first and then run the ball. Are you THAT scared of Miami’s offense? What a joke. He’s an overrated coach. Lot of people call him a genius and a lot of their fans would never question him
A free bye week is always nice but I’m starting to think maybe Belichek didn’t really care if they lost the more I think about it. Because of the path. It wasn’t a must win situation. Not saying he threw the game but the path is not bad for the 3 seed in the afc East. Now they get Titans....? And then on the road at KC? Not the worst path in their minds maybe. But that doesn’t change the fact that they suck
