It may be a homer call, but I can't pass up the Mets at +182.

Let's play "FOLLOW THE MONEY" GAME!
EARLY LINE = NYY -172
OPEN LINE = NYY -185
LINE MOVEMENT TODAY (with my service):
-175 900am
-189 100pm
-179 400pm
-177 500 pm
-195 630 pm

Hmmmm.

Follow the money ? Something smells like rotting carp.

HERNANDEZ makes 5 million a year.
WANG makes 489 K a year.

Line goes up to -195

figure it out.

Do you really think this "system" you're plugging has any merit to it? How do you explain the Marlins winning the WS with all those young pitchers a few years back? Using SP salaries to handicap games?

No system
Just observations.
Not the ONLY criteria on the game.
ML games = follow the money.

Here's a guy making $5mil vs. a Wang making 489K, but the line goes up and up.

Looks like a Yank play to me.
Oh, and again, not a system
Not a system
Not a system
Both have pretty good ERA's
HERN 2.38 overall and 2.89 last three
WANG 3.49 overall and 2.08 last three

Both pitchers have won more games than lost, METS 20-13 away, NYY 15-18 at home, both pitchers pitch about the same innings per.

Many factors, just something else to consider. May, or may not, make any difference. I favor the Yanks because of the line movement in favor of a pitcher who makes MUCH less than his opp. And the Under, as well.

No system, don't believe in 'em. Don't use 'em. All will unravel at some point. But, I DO look at everything I can, including these salaries. Time and research will tell. If someone takes the time and effort to monitor it.

I agree with your "overthinking" comment. To me it makes just as much sense to go against everyone on this thread taking the Mets as it does to go against the public betting on the Yanks. Just depends on which consensus you want to fade. Lots of cappers, me included, suffer from "analysis paralysis." Notice how very few on the losing end come back to "eat crow." They will be just as arrogantly boastful on their next "gem."

Congrats!

See many smiling faces at the window?

No Met fans, I'm sure.

Books begging money for the Mets, NYY line went Godzilla one hour before kick. Up to, what -205? From -172 open. Sheesh. That last ridiculous run crapped on the under for me. damn. Useless run, unless you had the over. That's baseball.

good job =====
