Why are NFL players getting paid if they opt out of the football season?

Can you imagine a sadder existence than X-Files? Guy discovered embedded gifs sometime last year and has been fascinated by them ever since.

I don't know what happened - he has been here 20 years and I never once recall him being the forum loon - I think the Corona Virus drove him nutz - my - my mom sits in a home in CT by herself with no visitors and doesn't leave because of Corona - she's going crazy - this has to be this dudes problem

While unions have any number of reasons to be criticized they do help lock down business agreements more securely than those offered up by non-union employers

So no matter what ur salary was if u were actually playing the one year that u missed because the season got cancelled you would get 350K? 350K is a trivial amount of money - by the time they pay taxes and agents they're near 160K - and how many years of work does ur career have in the NFL - good players average 8 years maybe - what are preparing to do with ur life after age 35? - they would be fucken crazy not to want to play - at 150K per year these guys go bankrupt - at least half

I have 9 posters on ignore .. And don't engage with X Files at all anymore.. My suggestion is to put him on ignore or scroll to next thread.. I stopped engaging with the Modeeper for the same reason you have with EF.. It's the best way to go imo ..better than slamming him in his threads..

There are tons and tons of posters (EF included) that go back and forth on this site much more than I go at EF. I probably have 10 posts directed at him over the past few months. People do that in a day or two around here.
