massive red zone defense advantage in this one. NM allowed just 18 TD in 44 opponent red zone tries, #4 in nation. Arizona 39 TD allowed in 53 opponent red zone attempts, #125 in nation. and Arizona has to get up for an away game called the new mexico bowl a year after playing on NY Day in the Fiesta bowl? not easy

The over is the pick in this game. Both defenses suck and suck bad. I see 8-9 touchdowns and at least 3-4 field goals in this game taking it over with little doubt.

I don't have a play in any of these games today (they all suck) but I agree with the over. You just have to keep in mind that New Mexico doesn't run many plays a game, so they'll have to be very efficient on offense. It could be a bit of a ball sweater to reach 65.

Game time temperature (37 degrees wind-chill 34); Pretty damn cold for those Arizona Boys. I dought if they will have any bench-warmers on the sidelines and the refs will keep the pace moving along. I like the under (now 64).

tough one. first thing i look at with bowl totals is offensive and defensive explosive rate on footballoutsiders. New Mex 115th in DEx defense, Arizona 81st vs OEx of 30th (NM) and 55th (ARI). so two decently explosive offenses vs two defenses that give up big plays.

was hoping to find a prop on longest rushing play for NM but couldn't find any

NM have 5 players with >=64 yard TD runs and 11 total TD's 61+ yards

Zona scored 49 points in this bowl a couple of years ago. I'm betting it wasn't any warmer then than today. I'm just a few hundred miles from Albuquerque. It's almost always in the 30's or 40's this time of year. I don't think it's going to make a whole lot of difference in this game. I'm more worried about NM scoring than Zona. If Scooby Wright is healthy, Zona could get a couple more stops than expected. But I don't see NM keeping Zona out of the 40's.
