have great respect for you shdw...but your post just implies that LJ can do that on any given night, whenever he feels like it...only 9 points less but nearly +20 in the stats when it counts. lebron helped his team more, so i have to give the performance to him.

I think they both can put up 35-50 on most nights but that isn't what is best for the "team".

Kobe is finally understanding that and Lebron always kind of understood his role (which initially was a LOT). If they were totally unrelated (everyone seems to be drawing a comparison) then I'd obviously say the triple-double with 50+ pts is more impressive. Just the way it happened doesn't sit well with me.

LeBron's was far superior.
If you watched the game you saw that he really didn't do much other than the first quarter. In the 4th he only took 5 shots!

And just overall, LBJ is a FAR SUPERIOR player to Kobe, at least so far this season. People really overestimate the importance of points and underestimate the importance of rebounds, assists, and any defensive stat.

But this is the norm in all sports. The HR is king in baseball, and the Texans were stupid for drafting a DE over Reggie Bush. Right?

Besides, the best players in the NBA are Chris Paul and Dwight Howard anyway...
