In all seriousness, I just don't find them substantive, but I appreciate how important they've become to the process

They could make them substantive, throw one issue out there and let everyone talk about that issue for 3 or 5 or even 10 minutes. then at the next debate, pick a different topic

the way they are now, nobody can really make a real argument and it's more about that one gotcha moment

debates are my favorite thing about elections.. Im as independent as they come... And I like paying attention to the entire process and seeing how it comes together
