In Delaware's case full wagering was voted in by the state..However, when the 3rd circuit 3 judge panel heard the case brought against Delaware by the league owners, they ruled that Delaware could only have parley betting, because that's what they had previously . Delaware asked for the Supreme Court to hear their case and they were turned down, back when it was..So they were forced to only offer parlays then.. Hopefully a CLEAR victory for NJ will allow states to do what they wish and not simply some NJ only victory; as far out as that seems.

I can't see SCOTUS overturning PASPA only for NJ.......NJ argued its unconstitutional for only Vegas to have sports betting & not the other states.

SCOTUS won't just say only Vegas & NJ can have it, its gonna be every state in the union or nobody.

So you're saying some possibility exists for Nevada to lose sports wagering?

they already screwed up when they made marijuana legal in some states....if they did it right, they could have put marijuana dealers out of biz...they did it wrong and so nothing changed. SOunds like same will happen with this. Ugh.

Exactly, & we all know that SCOTUS won't make sports betting illegal in every state including Vegas, will never happen.......they will overturn PAPSA completely & leave it up to each state IMO.

I just can’t imagine a true set up in place that’s good for the public bettors.

Speaking of, I bet dog players will see some real value as lines are inflated towards public favorite players. Also, if I'm in Texas and if they do that line shading shit and make the Cowboys -11 when they are -6.5 offshore, I will literally quit my job and print money scalping.

You'll make more money just riding it. Sharp money will keep them in line. You'll see 1 point shades but probably not much more.

Yeah I bet just playing the offshore lean would get you above the magic win %age, provided it's 11/10

There won't be any easy money like that, the lines will move on air and without any regard for what the public is betting, just like they do now.

+1

Do you think the lines will get tighter with action coming?

I know it doesn't make for the most interesting conversation and throws some water on all the speculation but you guys are overthinking this. There is already a state with legalized sports betting, for the most part, it is going to look like it looks in that state.

There won't be the extreme of -120 and terrible odds, but there isn't going to be some bonanza created through huge inefficiencies in the lines either.

Pats fan I hope you’re right. But I think otherwise. States are gonn fuck this up just like everything else they try and get involved in. Limits are a good question. What’s the limits in Vegas at the window ? NFL 25k?
I truly doubt it will be -110 in the state of Florida with -6.5 versus the same game in Vegas -6.5 -110. Who’s gonna run this? Are they gonna let well known casinos come in a run it? Or allow people to apply for a license and open up a mom and pop local shop?

What would be interesting is if states that offer sports wagering start competing with each other on how high a bet size one can make... I guess similiar stuff happens in Nevada between books there..

Hurry March 5th and get that decision out there.
