Hoyer was not really a critical factor in many of Cleveland's wins this year. It was usually the running game that carried the Browns, and when they couldn't run, Hoyer couldn't make plays. He's a system QB who needs the pieces around him to work in order to win, not a playmaker.
I keep hearing is overall record as a starter is 10-5, but one of those includes a game in which he exited early with an injury against the Bills last year...and the Browns were actually losing when he left the field. This is one reason I hate QB W/L records...it doesn't come close to painting an accurate picture of their true effectiveness.
