All of the data I've seen suggests it is lower than 0.6%... 0.6% is based on the fact that it spread through older populations more noticeably at first.
Now that it is spreading through people 40 and below, the mortality rate continues to plummet.
I would guess that when this is all said and done, and science has reviewed it all, a death rate of around 0.25-0.4 is the most likely landing spot for people in a first world country.
Adding to that, it could be as low as 0.1-0.2 for white Americans, and as high as 0.6-0.8 for black Americans, I would expect based on the data I've seen. Just food for thought there.
