Good point BTD and it always makes me laugh when you see everyone begging for OU to get the NCG when they get their asses handed to them every year in the BCS except when they played a team from the WAC. Yet Ohio St. gets pounded in the media and all over the nation for getting beat twice.

I'm not saying OU doesn't deserve it this year but I like pointing out the perception of closed minded college football fans that love to bash the other conferences.

Oh, I forgot it's because the Big 10 doesn't have a conference championship game. Even though the CCG has only helped teams in the past get to the NCG.

<snip this="" part...i="" misread="" ncg="">

very much correct that OU has come up short in the big games (like OhioSt) which is why I advocate Texas going ahead of Oklahoma if the sooners beat okst this week. UTexas has beaten Okla this year and UTexas shows up for BCS games. I'm also a homer :drink:</snip>

That is not the reason Texas should go over OU.

THEY BEAT THEM. end of story. Why play each other if it doesn't mean anything. ( yes, i know it is a conference game)

good thread hippie killer... you are the resident expert on this crap.

you guys take it easy on OTK, he is from canada.

big ten UT did not just beat OU but they beat them on a neutral field. the red river shoot out is the midseason bowl game of the year EVERY year... if you win your bowl game at the end of the year how would you not get the edge over the team you beat? same difference.
