by the old rules, C Young would b in (top10). C Young cant putt or hit fairways. Rome course set up doesnt suit him, likely a blessing for USA that the Captain has 6 picks now

Ryder Cup record for JT;

16-5-3 . And the Spieth/JT pairing is machine-like. USA just weakening themselves not taking proven horses ...

fucked up the date, its Sept 29th not the 23rd. .....will b great theatre

Burns over Bradley is doable. But the Rome course suits the likes of a glover, bradley type--fairway finding machines. Glover would b a great story-that fuckin L.A.B Mezz putter saved his life, lol

Fowler has a poor Ryder Cup record AND history of not handling heat very well. He's striking it so well....and matured .

one player that Zach should not say no to is Brooks. A proven horse who won a major ytd . Keep in mind won that major AFTER melting on Championship Sunday with the lead at Augusta. Brushed it off-- he's a warrior . TOTAL bs if he's not picked

“I was down to I knew I had the two weeks off before Memorial,” Glover said after his win at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. “I had some family stuff during Colonial and then I was off PGA because I wasn’t in. I made up my mind something was going to change then. I was going to try the long one and if that didn’t feel good, I was going to try left-handed. That’s how far down the road I was. Nothing I did worked, nothing I practiced worked. Brain was just fried. Ten years of dealing with it and not understanding it and not realizing or not comprehending how it could happen that I could just lose all feelings over a 10-inch putt. It was frustrating.”

Glover was sold on the idea of trying a broomstick, but he didn’t have one in his garage. Instead of having one made from a putter at home, Glover reached out to L.A.B. Golf and requested a special Mezz.1 Max build for initial testing.

“I just ordered one and asked for Adam Scott specs from the putter rep,” he said. “I said we’re about the same height, I don’t want to know anything else and I’ll teach myself how to do this.”

“Spent a couple days in the garage, figured out how to stand,” he said. “Took it to the practice green and spent about 10 days working on it. Took it to Memorial and putted nice. My misses weren’t that crazy, awful, yippy stroke, they were just misses. And that’s OK. So then once I figured out my tendencies with it, it became fun to kind of teach myself. I think I said it last night or yesterday was kind of that thing if you ever want a Tour player to practice more, you give them a new club because they’ve got to get used to it, figure it out. That’s kind of how it’s been. It’s been, it’s just basically a whole new motor skill, a whole new brain function because it’s so different, so out there from what I was doing.”

Missed cut by miles in a major twice and finished outside top 60 other two times

That’s horrific! If because he has a good record in his two Ryder’s then we need to bring Pat Reed in also. At least Pat showed up in his only 4 opportunities with majors and delivered a 4th, 18th, 56th, 33rd. JT didn’t sniff anything close to that or couldn’t even make cuts at pussy ass Rocket or 3m to go along with missed cuts at other events. All golfers miss some cuts but geez the dude been bad

ha, where did i get that record? LOL

check that :

Ryder Cup; 6-2-1
Presidents Cup : 6-2-2

he's on my team. Too much talent , and a gamer. Zach's got some tough choices . taking players not in form can back fire--did so with Captain Furyk when he picked Phil in france. Boy oh boy ,he was awful ...Phil couldnt beat the local club pro at the time..haha

Damn Oglivy .....get'er done Zach

.........

But to hear PGA Tour veteran Geoff Ogilvy, who has served as a vice captain for the International Team at the last three Presidents Cups, tell it, choosing Thomas, slump or no slump, is a no-brainer.

“If they don’t take him, it’s the worst call ever,” Ogilvy said. “He’s the best head-to-head match player in the world.”

“JT would be my first pick. I’ve been inside the ropes at enough Presidents Cups there’s just no chance you don’t take Justin,” said Ogilvy. “He does something to the team. He goes out front and leads and fist pumps and makes everyone behind him believe.”

Ogilvy noted that if he were Johnson, he would play Thomas and Jordan Spieth – “They are untouchable” – and Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele every match, and if Thomas happened to play poorly, he’d sit him during the fourball session. Asked if he would take the hot hand in Lucas Glover, who has won in two of his last three starts, Ogilvy said, “It’s hard to not take Lucas but you can’t take him at the expense of Justin Thomas.”

May as well take Tiger and Pat Reed

Dude living in the past. What’s ogilvy on the senior tour now? PGA has made JT a golden boy poster child and people can’t look past it. Kid has been awful.

Pairing Spieth and Thomas May not be so hot. Great in the past but now both can’t putt for shit especially inside 3-4 feet. Both struggling to hit fairways also.

When I was a kid about 11 or 12, I met Joanne Carner at her golf course, FireFly golf course in Seekonk, Ma. It was a par 60 executive course and she held a big amateur tournament every year that attracted some of the best amateurs in the Mass/Ct/RI area. I caddied for my stepdad one year and got to meet her.

SIX shot lead into Championship Sunday for the Norwegian. The guy is machine-like at the moment.

1st place cheque? a cool 18 mill

after 3 rounds ,not changing any of my Ryder Cup selections . Actually wont change anything even after today. BTW, Burns was + 110 to make the team , Bradley +187. The latter's game is more suited for the Rome layout. If Burns is selected : i'd use him in fourballs but not foursomes. The opposite if Bradley is selected .

seal the deal Hovland!!!!!!!

This tournament is out at Waverly. Beauty set next to the Willamette River. Private track..Use to live close by. I'd drive up to the clubhouse now and then to feel the vibe.
