If Carson Palmer can throw for 400 yards against the 9ers I can't help but wonder what Rodgers is gonna do to them with all his weapons back.

Different team, different location, different time.
Palmer playing from behind all game, common in that situation to put up big yards. Game wasn't as close as it would seem; had Dawson not missed a chip shot.

Jay feely missed two fg of his own and zona did turn the ball over twice. Kap threw for 400 hundred against gb at candlestick. Not exactly the frozen tundra of lambeau.

Game time temp supposed to be minus 5 degrees. Heard Aikman today saying GBay practiced outside today and the temp was minus 3. He said SF was arriving this afternoon and didn't think SF was going to hold a practice outside tomorrow.
He also said it takes a while to get used to throwing a cold ball, a lot harder and a lot more slippery. If anything that makes me want to take GB first half.

In temperatures like that your whole body gets numb.....imagine when you get decked....ouch...is putting it mildly.

If your body is numb then why would it hurt when you get decked?

Which makes me wonder why people think GB is the play? How's Rodgers collarbone going to feel when the sf defense puts him on the ground? His o-line is not good, lacy has a hamstring problem and the GB defense is without its best player(Matthews) and have given up an average of 27 pts compared to SF giving up 17.

Super cold weather favors the team that can run the ball, play defense and limit turnovers. Without a completely healthy Rodgers, lacy and a terrible defense, I think SF wins 20-10.

I remember my state semi final game in highschool, it was -7 or something. Took a pack of hand warmers ..* warning, dont put directly on skin* Well at -7, thats exactly what I did, and it still wasnt warm enough. Cant even imagine wtf its gonna be like out there. But good news for SF backers is they hit harder.. :)

One site estimated the game time temp, with the wind chill at minus 30. Thats not cold, its insanely cold. And no matter what you've heard, your body does adjust, when you live in that temp. Not saying you won't be cold......but for someone coming from seaside in Calif., the difference is, -30 takes over most of your concentration. After a few plays, you just want to get back to the heaters. Several players could well have a surprise waiting for them when they take their cleats off. Black or green toes.

In SF, I'd be on the giants. But us old timers that remember the first few Dal vs GB championship games.......as cold a game as I've ever seen......(and those were mid-day) know just how brutal the cold will be. I like GB, but I think its 3-6 points. 2.5 isn't enough.

imho. BOL 2 all!!!

Die hard niner fan here and Im not touching this game.. Im really worried about the Niners in this spot.. I sure hope they beat the shit out of these cheese dicks but Im not going to be a loser twice if they don't.. You have some great points in why the Niners are the play but I throw most of that stuff out with predicted weather.. I really hope all 49er bettors cash cuz that means we go to Seattle I think we can win there

I was at the Ice Bowl game (January, 1967).....The final score was 21-17..GB). They played all right but a lot of it was just going though the motions...the referees looked like Eskimos....their whistles had a hard time blowing. the players on the side-lines were constantly hoping on their feet and clapping their hands just to try and stay warm (no one was sitting on the benches......to damn cold). The turf was NOT heated like it is today (it will be interesting to see if the heated-turf in Lambeau works in the bitter-cold), and, there were no hot-air blowers on the sidelines and "warmers" of any kind.....just blankets and gloves .......lots of them. The field was like a concrete parking-lot with zero footing (slipping and sliding on every play). They will play the game this Sunday....in the dark of night, a late kick-off time (the sun sets early in Green Bay at this time-of-the-year) which will add to the ice-berg affect.

The action on the field will resemble football....just barely and........the best team might NOT win.

I think the Under could be the best play for this game.

Average points scored in top 10 coldest NFL games ever: 34
Average points scored in top 8 coldest NFL games ever: 31
Average points scored in top 4 coldest NFL games ever: 28
GB game is expected to be played in a very cold weather, maybe coldest ever.
Something to keep in mind if you are betting that total and if weather as cold as advertized (check it before the game time).

This line should be no more than a pick em game. SF won by 6 at home and now at Lambeau? With that wind chill. I know GB really wants to beat SF this time after losing 2x. already. Kapernick will not be running around that much this time. Seriously, do you think that SF 2ndry is that good? Go ahead and ask Matt Ryan. Rogers was able to pass against the SF 2ndry the first time also. Also B2B road games now without FB Miller. Not sure how that will affect the run game losing him. Yes, GB is not going to be great on the ground with Jolly and now Matthews out, but see this one as a pick? Like the over though.

It's GB or Nothing for me.

If you think the weather being -30 with the wind chill will have no affect , then go with what you feel.

I agree on this 100%. I'm leaving the side alone and betting the under. A lot of 3 and outs along with just one or two 1st down drives. Points will be a premium here. It's not going to be cold. Gonna be FUCKING FRIGID! I wouldn't go watch that game if I got paid to!

I think the smart play here is just taking the under. Cold weather, good D and Rogers back from an injury. SF can get a few hits on him and keep him in control for most of the game. 45 seems a bit high to me.
