I'm surprised with some of the candidates that have posted...
Romeo Crenell - The Browns are perineal losers and IMO they were doomed from the getgo anyway with it being Quinn's first season. I'd give Crenell a pass this season.
Brad Childress - The Vikes are 7-5 and leading their division. With Guss Frerrote as QB to boot!?!?! I think Childress has done a damn fine job.
Lovie Smith - Chicago is better than their record shows, as a few of those losses were fluky last minute 4th quarter meltdowns.
Norv Turner - Certainly no coach has done less this season with so much talent. But he did reach the AFC championship game last year so he obviously can coach. This year the blame will fall on injuries. Next year the blame falls on Turner.
Jim Zorn - Washington is 7-5 and for a first year head coach with mediocre talent ya can't call him the worst coach in the NFL.
Dick Jauron - Buffalo had no expectations going into this season, but with their amazing start those expectations got raised a lot higher than they should. They've crashed back to Earth, but I blame that on their pathetic QB play rather than the coach.
Rod Marinelli - Detriot is the worst managed team in NFL history and losing Kitna only made things worse. But even with all that, no NFL team should ever go winnless. There's too much talent parity for that. I'll agree Marinelli is a candidate for worst coach.
Herman Edwards - The Chiefs are supposedly rebuilding this year, but even then the coaching is a joke. Edwards began the season by rotating three different QB every week for the first four weeks killing any potential chemistry or chance of winning. The Chief's best player - LJ, is an elite RB who specializes at utilizing his speed by running the corners and catching passes out of the backfield. But for some inexplicable reason Edwards has LJ running right up the gut almost every play. Combined with poor clock management and an overall lack of preperation among his players.... Edwards is my vote for the worst.
As for Worst Coach of All-Time: Cam Cameron. Right after being hired it didn't take long to witness Cam's coaching incompetance as he selects Ted Ginn Jr. with the Dolphins 1st round draft pick. A midget sized WR who by all accounts could have and should have been taken in the 4th round. Dolphin fans were told it was just pure coincidence that Cameron was best friends with Ginn Sr. As soon as the season starts Cameron decides to relieve his all-pro RB Ronnie Brown of goal line duties in favor of a Jesse Chatman - a player brought in by Cameron who hadn't played in the NFL for 2 years, despite Chatman's propensity to fumble. By the time the season was over, Cameron had turned a once proud franchise into a laughing stock. The Dolphins would have gone winless but were saved by a late season over-time win against the lowely Ravens.
