Leave Bonds out of this people....he is NOT top 5

and AAron isnt either

Aaron had over 3700 career hits, a .305 lifetime average. He ranks 4th in runs, 3rd in hits all time, first/second in hrs and first in RBI.
Bonds is third in runs, second/first in hrs, fifth in RBI, 32nd in steals all time and is a career .298 hitter. I don't like what he did or condone it, but i respect the hell out of his accomplishments.

Frank Robinson and San Musial also deserve a lot more credit than they get. I'd take either of them, especially Musial, over Williams.

Please, give him a little respect....He's even in my top ten, although he is a number 1 Prick....

no order ( ok alpha ) but i would take anyone of these outfielders before Bonds

1) Lou Brock
2) Roberto Clemente
3) Joe DiMaggio
4) Joe Jackson
5) Al Kaline
6) Mickey Mantle
7) Willie Mays
8) Kirby Puckett
9) Frank Robinson
10) Pete Rose
11) Babe Ruth
12) Ichiro Suzuki
13) Ted Williams
14) Carl Yastrzemski

:toast:

when you fill the infield out that would put Bonds in the 50-60 range

Oh my my. been away for the summer...ready for The season. Great topic.

Yankee hater but Ruth was a phenom that was a record setter at two distinct positions. His WS pitching stats awesome. He could have played today and been an All-Star.

I'm partial to the oldies (Cobb, Wagner, Sisler, Gehrig, Mays, Snyder, Musial, Aaron). All mentioned players were skilled in all aspects of game..no weakness. Today's greats all seem to have a flaw yet Barry Roid was a great player with exception of avg arm(arm most overrated skill-pretty but doesn't come intoi play a lot with the exception of respect for Clemente and Parker and a couple others from OF) pre HR derby.

Love to have a few beers at the bar with this topic.

Just think about how hard it was for the good black players coming into a white league. Much more pressure for the player.

Aaron my favorite as a homer with the Braves and the Crew.

Despise Bonds. Had all the talent and just wanted that "extra". Hate to see a guy who is not a TEAM player. All about him. Remember when he had a clubhouse "personal" inside the clubhouse? Arrogance is ignorance.
