I'm not really semi-retired, more a case of because I don't have an employer I'm not stuck with 7am to 6pm 5 or six days a week.
Thats's 11 hours daily, of which you get paid for 7 hours....almost every day....

This is a massive inefficiency in your life, adding up to a full day of your life down the toilet for every week you work for a caring capitalist.

If an employee was wasting one full 24hour day a week how long would a capitalist employ them for?

I crunched the numbers and found I could work less and be no worse off if I cleaned windows kinda thing.

All you gotta do is work hard and be time efficient and the time off you have is yours to enjoy.

As an employee they would just give you even more fricken work to do if you were efficient because employers don't let you off early.
oh yeah, you still get the same pay too....

What do you call it if you like your job?

A social club in Devon has banned a 77-year-old man from breaking wind while indoors.
Maurice Fox received a letter from Kirkham Street Sports and Social Club in Paignton asking him to consider his actions, which "disgusted" members.

Mr Fox, a club regular for 20 years, said: "I am happy to oblige them, there is no problem. I do get a bit windy - I am an old fart now."

He said he had to leave the club about three times a night.

In its letter to the retired bus driver, the club said: "After several complaints regarding your continual breaking of wind (farting) while in the club, would you please consider that your actions are considered disgusting to fellow members and visitors.

"You sit close to the front door, so would you please go outside when required. So please take heed of this request."

I am a loud farter, but there is no smell

Maurice Fox

Mr Fox, who lives in nearby Princess Street, said the letter was a surprise because he had been given no verbal warning.

"I think someone has complained about the noise. I am a loud farter, but there is no smell.

"I do not think it [the letter] is unreasonable, you get ladies in there."

Mr Fox also spends two days a week at the nearby Palace Place club, but said he had no complaints about flatulence there.

The club said there was no one available for comment.

My Dad came to see me when I was locked up a few decades ago.

Probably the wisest thing he said to me ever was.

"Son, you have to be somewhere at all times you may as well make the best of it."

The hourly rate obviously takes into account travel time. If your travel time is too long, then you move closer to that job or get a job closer.

You need to get some job skills if you want a job that pays more than a window washer.

Got plenty of job skills son, especially in financial services.

Even my old job would bring in $1000+ a week nowadays.
Tax free if you do it right too.
ahoy there

I avoid employers because this little ni66er is just not subservient enough, and life is too short.

Once you get past 40 and you can choose, you won't put up with the same bullshit that the other poor saps suck on day after week after month after year.

ah's a free man sir, and ah ain't nevvah goin' back to that corporate cotton picking plantation.
oh-no siree, no thankyou sah.

:drink:

I have a great work/life balance....as long as I do it my way.

Looks like he's enjoying his life to me. Obviously the people around him don't mind his doing so too much or they'd leave, which would force the bar owner to give the eekster das boot. :toast:
