I'm playing UNC, got the Charlotte observer sports section sitting right next to me as I type. Fedora has the team pumped, too many missing pieces for Baylor, top two QB's, as pointed out above, best receiver in Coleman, Linwood rushed for over 1300 yards, and offensive tackle Colbert. UNC is pretty healthy and played Clemson one hell of a game. Frankly, if Williams comes to play, this could get out of hand in a rabbits wink.

what do you think sdf...baylor?

if you got UNC at +3 to -2...stick with it. if you have Baylor +3.5 or +4...stick with it. this game could easily land on a 3 point UNC win

as I can see around the boards and on the twitters, most of the "betting public" didnt give this game a thought until today and they missed all
the good numbers on UNC...some posting UNC -3.5 today. but Baylor money came in to push the line back to 3.

so if UNC wins this, they arent going to get their asses handed to them. they had plenty of Baylor money come in today to balance the sheets a bit.

RBs tend to be easy to replace. Linwood being out isnt that big IMO. Much of the work is done by the O-Line anyway. Linwood is still a great RB but he's not a huge loss.
the QB for Baylor has actually seen action and has been the #1 guy at practice for well over a month now. He's not going to be as good as #1 or #2 but their offensive gameplan should not suffer significantly (unlike the #4 guy who had no college experience). Coleman being out is a bigger deal for Baylor but they do have other solid WRs on the team.

Baylor lost some starters but they have capable people to fill in.

Going into the season, Baylor had NC aspirations. UNC did not. So being in this bowl game has to be more of a downer for Baylor.....so motivation could be key here.

I took UNC +1 a while back when the injury new came out and I am sticking with that....

SDF, gotta disagree with you on one point, although it shouldn't matter today. UNC actually thought that if they'd beaten Clemson in the ACC title game, they would have had a shot at the dance, no shit. IMHO, injuries are gonna be the key today. You lose the best receiver in the country (according to whoever votes that) and the other weapons, only bad things will happen. I go back to the 20-17 loss to a horrible Texas team. Yeah, won the Red River Shootout, but that game goes back further than my grandparents and I'm 56. Either team could win that game in any year. Your point about Baylor missing out on sugar cane is well made. If UNC was playing Slippery Rock today, I'd say take Slippery Rock and the points. But they're playing Baylor, a team perceived to be top notch so the Heels will be motivated. GL with your action.

I don't get it. Baylor hasn't been that good EVEN when all their offensive stars were in there. Easy schedule, lost last 2 bowls ats, so-so defense. Chris Johnson will have to be the second coming to get Baylor the win. I guess we'll see...

NOT SO FAST, my good friend from somewhere near the Apple, LOL. Baylor w/o leading rusher today, w/o leading receiver, w/o leading QB's.......you sure about this???

Scary line movement.... Why is the line dropping so much? RED FLAG.

UNC line should be moving up.... Not down..... Hold on tight boys.

Biz, they ain't gonna let that happen. I didn't look at this game two weeks ago when the line was UNC +3, but they don't move it, now 4 pts at FiveHo's unless they're trying to get the book balanced. Ain't gonna happen, they know a hog slaughter is coming, IMO. Don't buy back shit, if anything, buy some more UNC. GL to ya, Happy and Prosperous New Year, keep the Bay open, LOL.

the ACC would never let UNC win that game against Clemson........UNC had to know that.

UNC wouldnt have made it to the final 4 with that corrupt committee....

Thanks brother.

I have UNC, I was just saying that for those that did. I could see some doing that, but I agree that they are dying for some Baylor money.

3rd string QB and 2 NFL caliber skill players out. If UNC shows up they should win by DD.

You're keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeling me. I don't believe in NCAA conspiracies. As for UNC making it, no, I never believed that and I'm good friends with some serious Heel Alum here in Charlotte. That all being said, books are trying to get some Baylor money to balance the book, hence the line drop. I've been patient and will be rewarded. GL

ACC conspiracy.

last year was even worse.

Oregon blowout
OhioSt huge blowout
Bama blowout (though they woulda killed Mizzou anyway)
FSU blowout

no way those conference championships would have gone any other way to lose out on the top 4, especially tOSU who needed a HUGE win to jump past TCU.

yep, I believe in the conspiracy at the conference level. conferences MUST do what it takes to get a team in the top 4....which is unfortunate. With an 8 team playoff
we likely wouldnt need it to happen....

anyway...Go Heels
