i am proud to not have lost anything more than i can afford.

didnt know being a loser makes you cool:ohno:

Good for you for 'playing-what-you-can-afford'.

But bettors come in many shapes and sizes, some have deeper pockets than others. The units vary in size and they can "play-what-they-can-afford-to-lose" as well as you.

Then there are the stiffs who play what they don't have in their pocket to pay. They shouldn't be gambling in the first place.

I lost count cause it was about five years ago, but I say at least 50K. I was in my early twenties, sold my condo so had cash, and was a runner for a bookie.Bad mistake, wish I knew about this site back then. I used to just guess. Stupid 21 year old trying to be greedy but losing it all. Guess I learned the wrong way. I was forced to quit gambling by my wife but she allows me to do small plays and I am up these past couple years thanks to people on this site such as Ace-Ace and Mac..

cant argue with that logic.... we have all lost before, just a matter is who cries about it and who forks over the cash on thursday and moves on.

I know a local who bet's off most of his plays.

Shops around various online books for a better number and uses alot of 2 team teasers on the big money games.

For instance, I was 2-0 last night for a profit of $125. Winning a $100 bet and a $25 bet. Then today I lose 3 $150 bets not adding juice.

I wish i could flat bet but it is hard. Sometimes i make even $10 bets and win yet later that night lose my $200 one.

i've been there. you should isolate games and limit the number of plays, to be down that much seems like you're playing way too many games.

I've found that the most successful gamblers are the ones that don't play a lot of games. You'll win it all back, might just take a little time. There's some good cappers on this site that could help you. Set a weekly goal/max loss if you're playing with a local (i.e. 500 to 1000 a week), that's been good for me...BOL :103631605

It's must be my bro-in-law. He owns some private business. Last year he lost close to half mill. including his equity loans of his 2 houses. Year before that was almost the same. Once he said his avg a week he won was 30K but avg a week he lost was more than 40K. Last Xmas he took 100 K from his mortgage loan, he lost them all just in one week playoff.(his wife does not even know till now)

soon to be ex-wife surely...

I've got a buddy who's lost about 100K over the last 3 and that was with a 25k win streak mixed in.

All losing gamblers have one thing in common I'm sure - and that is chasing.
