I wonder if your home was ever broken into in the middle of the night if you would have a different perspective?....

The only reason someone would risk breaking into my home in the middle of white bread suburbia, while risking a multi-year prison sentence, is if they knew for certain I had something of extreme value within that they could steal and convert to big cash.

In the event of that one Incredibly Long Shot (literally hundred thousand to one) dork who might decide to choose my front door "in the middle of the night"....

1) He would have to have burglar tools for a sincerely premeditated entry and as noted above I have nothing of sufficient value to warrant such an invasion.

2) He would immediately be greeted by one of the biggest loud mouth dogs in town. Though too small to be a physical danger, my wife's Fucking Poodle would create a ruckus making it impossible for any invader to proceed with any plans to steal my collection of used DVDs or my $250 electric guitar.

Leading to a serious Side Note - If one is honestly concerned about possibility of Home Invaders, a good sized dog or two make for excellent deterrents.
