we simply did not behave like this during the Swine Flu pandemic

From April 2009 through February 2010
57 million Americans had the swine flu
257,000 were hospitalized
11,000 died
1,000 children died

The media did NOT promote endless panic

The media did NOT attack and blame Obama

This is a serious issue, as was the swine flu, but the media hates Trump and wants to destroy him at any costs. They're fucked in the head, they're the scum of this earth

They also control the mindset of the American people, they control what we talk about and how we talk about it

The only difference between 2020 and 2010 is Trump and Obama. Or maybe I should say R vs D

If they control the mindset of America than they are responsible for the election of the current president, no?

the mortality rate of the coronavirus appears to be at least 10X higher than the swine flu.
the lack of information or disinformation coming from our government has increased
the publics and businesses level of concern to a near panic. the ability of this virus
to affect global supply chains and hurt the economy is unprecedented in recent times
(i'm pretty sure the Spanish flu of 1919 was much worse though). the amount of
media attention has certainly increased awareness to the level of panic, but realize
the media tends to give their audiences what they want. no audience, then the
media will move on to different topics. politicians aren't helping. when DTjr says
that democrats hope the virus kills millions so that his father won't be re-elected;
that idea increases anger and makes people concerned whether millions are really
at risk. etc, etc, etc.

They're responsible for the hatred of him by so many. They don't win every election, but they make their party competitive

Otherwise you would have to move to the right to even sniff a chance

I've made my argument and supported it with actual numbers. The difference in coverage is undeniable

So that’s why the republicans move to suppress voter registrations and voter turnout at every chance? Because the democrats are barely competitive?

The governor of CT said (paraphrasing) "if you have cold like symptoms, you should assume you have the coronavirus and just stay home.

You DON'T HAVE TO GO TO A HOSPITAL, YOU CAN RECOVER AT HOME.

I can only surmise that this means the mortality rates have been grossly overstated, lest his statement be rendered totally irresponsible

The premise of your argument is categorically incorrect. You need to get out of your house more, expand your horizons and think. This us the type of nonsense I simply don't have time for.

Hillary got more votes than The Donald. Gore got more votes than Bush. Gerrymandering and the outdated Electoral College are the only things standing between America and democratic landslides.

Jesus Christ, you're ok with two states electing the president of the United States each year (California and NY)? Why do people like you argue against the electoral college? Oh yeah, I know why, because it doesn't help Democrats. It levels the playing field and ensures the rest of the U.S. knows their vote actually counts.

But you don't care about that.

That's not how it works. I know your idol Hillary Clinton would like you to believe that as she's stated several times since her defeat but the state of California and NY aren't going to determine our national election.

Any respectable American knows the electoral college is the fair way to conduct business. You libs didn't complain when Obama won. The electoral worked for him right? You guys are so weird. You complain all the time but only when things don't go your way.

I'm a conservative and have no problem with the electoral college even if the Dem candidate wins. Why? Because it's the fair way to conduct business. Stop whinning.

This narrative of blaming the media for everything is absurd. Whether liberal, conservative or moderate each is attracted to the type of media that reflects their bias. But, the media does not affect you. Is this what you are saying?

Not a chance, at least I hope not. That is exactly what the founding fathers didn't want. Thats why we split with England. No taxation without representation.

Some poor guy/gal from Iowa or Idaho or Montana paying 30% to the government when he gets no say who represents the government.

So you think the founding fathers intentionally created a fake democratic republic in order to ensure the monied aristocracy was still able to control the government?

But you're wrong. It may not affect you but many people let it affect them.

A journalist is supposed to report the news not report their version of the news. Both outlets like CNN and Fox do it. I shouldn't know 95% of the press is liberal. Why do we know that?

I'm going to take a wild guess and say the reason is because only 5% of the press agree with you? Can't say that i'm wrong.....

What I'm saying is you and I should not know the political affiliation of a journalist. It should not come across in their reporting.

Yesterday was a perfect example.

Trump says he's hosting Corey Gardner at the WH. The press jumps on that as if he's hosting Gardner for a fundraising event. It wasn't a fundraising event at all but they jumped on that and got the facts wrong. Why? To make the POTUS look bad because they don't agree with his policies.

That's sad. It's not their job to report erroneous information and if you or I messed up like that at our job, we'd be fired. There's no accountability because the journalist's boss agrees with them being wrong. It's ok in their world.

You don't have a problem with that?

99%? Stroll down the am dial on your radio. All it is is right wing or conservative talk. The only liberal leaning station I find is public radio.

Can you explain to me why Corey Gardner is being invited to the WH? I'm quite sure somebody told you that it was for some other reason. Source?
