i just wonder if the Magic will just be happy to be there since it's been so long. That's how LA felt last season and got beat. This time, they're all business.

Basically I could care less who wins. Just make it a sweep, so we do not have to hear about the series ad nausium on every sports show known to man. Being a Lkaer hater, I guess I want Orlando, but to be honest, I will watch about 3 minutes of this series, and that will be on sports shows showing highlites of the games before I can switch to another channel.

its laughable that people post "Lakers in 5" when they havent beat the magic once this year.

Retarded is not a strong enough word.

why does that matter now? you have to look at what's on the line and what the situation was back when the games happened. jameer nelson isn't going to be playing, and if so not at the level he was when he played the lakers.

You are forgetting a few things though that matter big time in FINALS.

Experience: Lakers
Coach: Lakers
"That" Player: Lakers
Homecourt: Lakers
Bench: Lakers
Depth: Lakers
Hunger: Lakers (Orlando didn't expect to be here...yeah they thought it might be nice but they didn't think they were gonna do that to CLE...Lakers DO NOT and WILL NOT experience same thing as last year)

This post says it all. Orlando position by position might be a bit better, every other intangible favors the Lakers

Im a die hard Orlando fan and honestly I could see this going either way. The magic are a force to be reconed with this year, any way you look at it. This will not be an easy sweep for the lakers like some think. The magic are very undervalued as a team. Giving the magic six points when they are 2-0 against the lakers in the regular season and just got done dismantling lebron? wtf

Lakers will need to double team Howard.. Pietrus,Turk and Lewis will be open..

what? The Magic do not have the same favorable matchups on offense that they had vs the Cavs

Turk will be shadowed by Arriza just fine and Odom will cover Lewis.

Its the Lakers with the favorable matchups this series on the perimeter

In the western finals, Melo probably did the best job of anyone covering Kobe. (You non NBA fans might laugh at Melo's defense, but Melo is an excellent defender in the post on Kobes inside game, and put a hand in in the face on the jumper) Melo was not Shane Battier, but he did well I thought.

Pietrus guarding Kobe is a joke, but probably the best option.
No Magic player can guard Kobe.

You ever wonder why big time players show up in big games? The Magic have no one to guard Kobe! Kobe will get 40 any time he feels like it.

Turkoglu and Lewis are too slow to guard Kobe. Like you said Pietrus will probably be guarding Kobe. Haven't seen Pietrus play too much so I don't know his defensive capabilities very well. If Pietrus has to run around with Kobe I wonder how that will affect him offensively because his 3 ball was one of the reasons Orlando is playing in the championship.

Believe the Magic will win the Championship because they beat the Lakers in both regular season games, they beat the past champions Celtics and beat Cleveland who had the best record in NBA. They play more consistently well than the Lakers and they may get Jameer Nelson back which even if he is rusty will be a huge psychological boost for team morale. Taking the Magic to cover in first game of the Championship series.
