Good point. Not only did he run it out, he tried to muscle ahead for extra yards

Not sure if it was discussed or not, don't have time to read the "In game thread" but that mark at 2:10 in the 4th qt (I believe) where they gave NE the 1st down was a fucking joke!!! The ref walked up and clearly moved the fucking ball forword???? The reciever was a yard short of the first down and on the next play NE got the TD? to make it a 5 point game. I could not believe was I was watching? Clearly he was short of the 1st down? I know I was drinking, but the wife was not and even she was baffled. Also, tell me this ESPN crew did not have their heads up NE ass so far u couldn't see their feet? All in all, what it comes down to is a piss poor coaching job on the part of the Bills Special teams. How the hel do you not tell the guy to sit in the endzone? We had them against the ropes BIG time...

Did you complain when the Pats sacked the Bills for ~10-15 yard loss,
and the refs called a bullshit penalty on the tackle (oooh too rough )
and Bills get automatic 1st down - at an extremely crucial time in the
4th qtr?

With 2:06 left on the clock he was probably thinking he could run it out to at least the 20 and kill those 6 seconds and taking away the 2 minute warning as a timeout for NE. If he takes a knee the Pats essentially have 4 time outs instead of 3. His thought process was right, but not protecting the ball was obviously wrong.

I agree. that was a complete BS call...

Do you think that was a 1st down on that play in my post?

I understand your thought process, but the risks far out wiegh the gains to a smart special teams coach; one would think?

Not watching the press conferense, probably should, but "he" should not have had that decission to make, thats up to the special teams coach. If the special teams coach told him to run it out of the zone he should be "talked to"..

Anyway, the Bills played a very sound game and should have won, but they lost in typical Bills fashion. The Pats won't be going anywhere this year as witnessed by tonight at home,,

Absolutely ya. I'd take the knee and hope my offence could get 1 first down and run the clock out.

Terrible job of explaining the call-it had NOTHING to do with the severity of it--the play was blown dead about 2 seconds before he threw him down. It was well after the whistle

McKelvin is young and will learn. I highly doubt the Bills would have gotten a first down. The Bills had 50 seconds to go 40 yds and give Rian a shot. They couldn't go down field-because THEY CAN"T. Everything is dink and dunk and that wouldn't work at the end. Edwards looked terrible and scared at the end. They only had 3 looks to TO all game.
Jauron looked as dead as swayze on the sidelines.

Reading this thread is so much more enjoyable than reading the juvenile posters at yahoo or sportsline.

Gamblers are some of the most knowledgeable sports heads out there.

What was Trent's record at Stanford? 0-7 Sr year? 1 winning season for that pathetic pile of garbage Jauron ....

this team needs winners ... not lifelong losers leading the way.
