Joe Mauer is insanely overpaid for his production, but I'd say that John Lackey is the biggest turd in the game right now. Sucked for the Red Sox before he got hurt and is pulling in over $15 million per. Jason Bay is right there with him.

Werth tops my list. I love the guy, but he's grossly overpaid!

I wonder if sports salaries will ever level off. At some point enough is enough! I guess when seats start going very empty...but attendance seems to be fine in most sports.

If you started this thread a month ago everyone would of been saying Pujols.

Very True...

He's batting .305 in the month of June
.263 in May and Dead weight in April .217 a grand total of .260 overall

If nothing else goes wrong, very good chance he will be batting close or above .300 by the end of the Season.

last June, July, Aug and Sept he had, .317, .295,.298 and for Sept .355

Bud Selig - $18.4M in 2011 to continue to run baseball into the ground, get surpassed by other sports and raped by the NFL. His incompetence is legendary - where is baseball now in the country, fourth-fifth behind NFL, CFB, NASCAR and NBA? The bottom of the barrel teams in MLB (Pittsburgh, KC), in terms of overall worth, have seen a 6-8% increase over the last decade or so while the bottom of the NFL (Arizona) have experienced a 650% increase.

I believe only 11-12 players make more than Selig in annual base salary. If someone ran a major corporation this way they would have been terminated long ago- not have a 20 year run.
