FOOTBALL BY FAR, BECAUSE THE BALL IS NOT ROUND. ONE WEIRD BOUNCE = A 14 POINT SWING.

Baseball.

The lines are drawn for the pitcher. Lot of pitchers having bad games after winning 3 or 4 games in a row.

definately NBA hoops. We all like to say we accept the X factors in our win % but sometimes it just gets ugly. I remember a heat/knicks game where i needed one hoop for 4 fukin minutes. Lost! Or where the team i need to win by 7 has the ball with 20 secs left wide open layup and holds up for no freakin reason. but for everyone of those there is a win for the same reason but those just go down as Ws and not lucky wins so...

Baseball, not even close. I took more beats this year than the the rest of my life combined. Of course I was losing, got pissed off and pressed may have had something to do with it. Detroit wes something like 2-29 at one point and guess who was against them on their two wins. The last one was not a horrible beat but typical. I have Anaheim over Detroit and they are up 1 run in the 9th. Get one out, get two outs, then a grounder to 2nd base gets muffed. Still two outs though, no big deal. Get one strike, get two strikes - go find ball in rose bushes. Detroit wins! Over and over again, same thing.

Miaplus3, I hear ya with those empty net goals. You feel so helpless as the puck is sliding down the ice with nobody to stop it.

you gotta take that into account...every game the team will pull their goalie if they are losing in the final minutes...a majority of the time they will give up the empty netter.

I wonder if there are some numbers on this ...with how many times the game has gone OVER due to an empty netter.

A goal in hockey is probably except for soccor the highest important score in any sports. Meaning that a half goal on a spread means ALOT more than than a half point in basketball or football etc...

Anyway to answer the question NBA totals by far...its not a good way to lose ..but again you should take into account into this the style that the coaches play when they are up and when they are ahead..during the game and at the end of the game..

Always football, that Bucs game will live in my memory for a long time, for example.

you boys all have no idea what you are talking about. Hockey is the sport filled with the worst bad beats, by far. The only reason why no one has mentioned it yet is because hardly anyone bets it.. If you bet 1000 games a year in hockey and 1000 games in NBA totals or NFL, you will see the difference. Your blood pressure will be so high. Here is why.

Almost every game is decided by the last shot. And more important, a lot of games come down to the empty netter. And to lose a game on an empty netter, really kills. I can't tell you how many times I would have +1.5 goals, and you think you are looking great very late in the game, then the fav scores with 1 min to go, then they score the empty netter, and just like that, you lost. Or if you have under 5.5 and it's 2-2 late, or 3-1, and one team scores very late and then adds the empty netter. It is sickening!!! And what about OT?? Losing a game in OT when you're +0.5 goals.. The perfect example of a bad beat was yesterday.. atlanta is +0.5 and in OT with the powerplay, and late, a giveaway to cause TB to score late in OT and you lose. So instead of winning with +150, you lose, a big swing indeed. Your heart just splashes when you bet hockey..

The sport that is decided by 1 shot, or an empty netter. It doesn't get worse than that. Try betting hockey and come back and tell me if this ain't the most stressful sport to watch and definitely filled with the most bad beats.

If your heart is not racing when that net is empty, then something is wrong with you...

Sick Gambler - Some hockey teams have an empty net even when they HAVEN'T pulled their goalie!
