He was averaging 23 for the series before game 7, not 16. Even those #s are heavily skewed because games 2-5 were blowouts.

he shot a career high in fg% that year and was only shooting 37% vs the spurs up until that game 7

look who was checking westbrook most of the series. The spurs best player was glued to durant, somewhat like bowen on kobe.

It's not even close and this comes after watching Westbrook and coming to the conclusion that he is the equivalent of Iverson - but James without Wade? or a loaded team - he is a distributer first and foremost - he scores the quietest pounts u could ever imagine - the majority coming in transition where he is as good as Magic was at pushing the ball - but James is not a guy u can totally rely on for big basket AFTER big basket in BIG moments - this is not Dirk or Bird or even Manu in his prime - he hates that roll too - realistically James' perfect fit would be SA where he would be the best player on the team but be able to play team ball passing, boarding, defending and playing into a system where the guy with the best shot takes the next shot - he's the ultimate team player of all time just not the biggest gamer - nothing even remotely close to Kobe or Jordan in the regards

Spot on with LBJ. Also, great point on SA for Lebron, he would thrive there.

umm Leonard guarded Westbrook in games 5 and 6. You think Pop just switched that shit because it felt like the cool thing to do?

Lebron can win with or without Wade. Durant will lose with or without Westbrook. Maybe if you put a good coach on the Thunder they would have a chance but they can't win championships the way Westbrook and Durant leave out their teammates. I mean 20-48 last night, 14 turnovers?? That is sad.

Spot on except every truly big game hes played the last 2 years?

You gotta win 16 games to win the title in the playoffs, you don't gotta pull a 2007 Patriots and go 16-0. I mean he can't dominate 24/7, nobody can.

I think some people get it twisted because his game isn't as aesthetically pleasing late in the game as guys who have to hit tough contested jumpers to get their team a victory. He isn't the ultimate roleplayer here, he has proven he can be the best player on a multiple championship NBA team.

Kobe 2 finals win without Shaq....1 against an Orlando team that was only in the finals because Kevin Garnett's knee injury

The other against an old Celts team in which he shot 6/24 in game 7

LeBron completely dominates game 7 in all facets vs a superior all around Spurs team last year but Kobe has that "killer instinct" he "wants it more"

WTF does he want more, to shoot 25% and have Pau Gasol carry him?

Both players would still put up great numbers so we have to look at the rest of the players on their teams.

Thunder have a much better team imo.

If KD and Westbrook were removed from their team I think that Thunder team would beat a Lebron and Wadeless Heat

lol, he has been hurt every year since his 3rd season in the league if you wanna say he was banged up. That's a convenient excuse but nobody is taking him in a game 7 over LeBron if a lifetime of being waterboarded is on the line. If they would they would be ignoring facts

Everybody forgets what Lebron couldn't do before Wade

Not all of us Pats.

Actually it's Lebron supporters who forget that James would have 0 rings right now, without Wade.

Forget Bosh and all of the others on that team.
It's the duo of Wade & Lebron who made it happen.

Although often injured, throughout most of his career, D-Wade has ranged from being a top 3-10 player in the entire league.
Lebron isn't stupid, he knew this when he decided to go play for Miami.

Shaq & Lebron both should be grateful to Wade...

Gonna go out on a limb and say LeBron going to the Heat has been much more beneficial for Wade than it has for LeBron. He took 30 games off for rest this year, without LeBron he wouldn't even be able to walk in June, much less play basketball.

It's weird the theories people comeup with in their heads. Kobe shoots 6-24 in game 7 of the finals and the Lakers still win, talk about a nice margin for error.

If LeBron shoots 6-24 in game 7 vs SA last year, how much do we think SA wins by? 30? 45? 70? Forfeit at halftime?

Definitely beneficial for both.

Again, when healthy Wade is a top 3-10 player in the NBA.

Having 2 of the best players in the league is nearly automatic domination in the game of basketball vs other sports.

The next big question is will Lebron become the player - version of Phil Jackson and merely follow the talent around...

Financially maybe but wade was a champ long before the king arrived.

No on the court and in team success. As in LeBron is way more responsible for the Heats success from 2011-2014 than D Wade.

Not sure what the debate is here...

He looks way better this year with his knee being better but last year in the playoffs he was not top 10 caliber.

The Heats points per possession last postseason and this regular season were actually better when LeBron was on the court without him. When they made the giant comeback in game 6 vs SA, Wade was on the bench.

What does that even mean? Wade wouldn't win without him.

LeBron is a better player than Wade. Wade and Pat Riley would both tell you this.

LeBron would win titles on a lot of teams, he took Cleveland to the finals and that team was awful in every way.
