i know 1 thing it wont be nebraska, id probably them last or 2nd to last on that list only behind tenn

Been a Husker fan for 30+ years. Least we know we had the best college team ever in the history of the NCAA...think it was 94 or 95. Also, we were 3 points away from winning 4 titles in 5 years in the 90's.

Texas has a great coach. I think they'll be a top team possibly as early as next season.

I think Strong is a good coach, but I'm not convinced Texas fans have the patience too keep him around 3+ years so he can do his thing. He also needs to find a good QB before he starts winning championships. Something they haven't had for over 5 years...

Texas ended up #12 in recruiting and OU #14. Like I said before, I would prefer they be a top 10 recruiting program for a couple of years before we start talking about national championships...

Watch out for Brigham Young, remember the Wilson, McMahon, Young & Detmer eras and of course Robbie Bosco who led them to the promised land in 1984!

.

TX was 24 last year 20 the year before that.

Don't see Charlie as a good recruiter to Texas. Will take a new coach and some top 5 classes to get back.

I can easily see Strong bring in a couple top 10 classes in the next couple of years, then the fat cats from Texas find an excuse to fire him and bring in another coach, who wins the Championship with Strong's recruits. I've seen this happen more than once...

There is really no difference in the #5 class and the #12 class. Once you get outside of the top 25 then you have to worry.

The jury is still out on Strong. But he came up under some really good coaches: Spurrier, Holtz, and Meyer. I wouldn't write him off just yet. Like GS said, he needs to find a QB (which ANY program needs to do to win in CFB these days). But when he does, they'll be as good as anybody.
