i forgot because all the boxers bring glocks in the ring:ohno:

No but I've watched brawls in both sports but I only see bitch slaps in one....

That being said we're comparing apples and oranges.

If hockey players are better athletes why do they choose to go pro in the sport that pays less?

Canadians live a modest lifestyle. When they are done playing hockey, they go back to their farm in Manitoba. The cost of living is about the same when you factor in the lack of hanger-oners.

The question is what Sport has the better athletes. Picking out that a few NBA Players are NOT athletic isn't the point.

The top 100 NBA Players, run faster, jump higher, have more stamina than NHL Players. Strength is probably a tie overall but the strongest hoopsters (Shaq, Dwight Howard) are way stronger than the strongest NHL players.

And Yes I have seen Fat Goalies.

Did you really just hint at the possibility that Canada produces better athletes than the US?

Soccer is the most demanding on the body. Those guys run up and down the field the entire game because substitutions are permanent. They may not be the biggest or strongest athletes but the use more energy than both a basketball player and hockey player.

how in the world is NHL leading this vote? they might burn more calories but no way are they better athletes. IMO basketball has the best athletes in the world.

Remember the superstars competition - dominated by Brian Budd - a Canadian soccer player who also played some hockey.

"Big" does not make you an athlete!

No, they dont need $50 mil to survive on.

Neither does the guy working at McDonalds. But if he had better skills, he would gladly take a better job

The average NHL player takes home less than USD$1 million after taxes. If their job skills are truly higher than NBA players, they are perhaps the only labor group in the world willing to accept such a small fraction of their value

Yeah I remember it was THIRTY years ago!

Hoop Players are monsters now compared to then.

Jeez I thought anybody that thought it was hockey was bad, to even mention Soccer Players is Laughable.

They run, and kick ,that's it. They fall down and act like they just gave birth when an opponent comes within 5' of them. Baseball has more physical contact than the joke of Soccer.

what is a athlete? Size, strength, speed, quickness, endurance, cordiation. Hockey is a huge skill game, kinda like golf. while basketball imo is less skill and alot about athletic ability.

I assume you never played hockey. We'll leave it at that.
