I have changed my mine. CO2 in the atmosphere is a good thing. I think we should strive to increase those levels.

Trees and other plants like CO2....it is plant food

Photosynthesis CO2+H2O+sunlight=plant growth+O

It is a good thing...and completely natural to boot.

I love it when greenies try to call it pollution...:missingte

We should shut down all the greenhouses that pump it into their atmosphere to grow plants.

I think that the people got heated up with the global warming issue and then chilled a bit cause the subject was putting the people to sleep. This is what I think about this here matter.

Wow I dont post in here much because some of the views are just plain retarded but I think I'll go with the thousands of scientist that have been studying this for years than one dumb ass that steps outside and says its not very warm out todady I think global warming is bullshit.

Is'nt it for every 1 degree increase on the equator it goes up like 12 at the poles. Anyway if you want to see global warming why dont you go some were that was kind of hot and dry and see how things have changed for them or some cold like the artic where soon you'll be able to travel the north west passage year round

well, there are thousands of scientists that have studied global warming for years that say there is no global warming and man has not changed the earth's climate

AND

nobody said it's not very warm out today, so what exactly are you talking about? However, the OP did point out that the earth's average temperature has not increased in two decades, not quite the same as your "retarded" strong man argument.

99% of scientist say there is global warming the ones that dont are stupid or getting paid to say its not.

If you look at any tempture chart for the past hundred years there many ups and downs but its warmer. The temp might go up for a few years and then go down for a few years but then it goes up higher than the last high.

It was warmer in 1950 than it was in 1900 and it was warmer in 2000 than in 1950 and its going to be warmer in 2050 than in 2000. There may be many ups and downs overs those years but over the long run its going up.

And the thing about someone stepping outside was just an analogy for saying if someone that dont experience something first hand then it aint true.

Bottom line its getting warmer and man is causing it plain and simple

Well, those are mighty convenient beliefs you have there, but they're not facts.

I especially like that "scientists are paid to say there is no global warming" stuff.

Two decades are not a few years.

Did you know? that since the inception of the earth, there have been cycles of global cooling and then global warming? Global cooling runs about 70,000 years per cycle, while global warming cycles are about 20,000 years. I think your scientists will concur. Did man cause this?

Why did temperatures increase on other planets in our solar system? do Martians drive SUV's?

Scientists have offered to debate Al Gore, why the no show? Who's paid what again for what?

Was'nt 1998 the hottest on record.

If you look hard enough at the scientist that say theres no global warming look where they're funding is comming from, I'd go out on a limb and say its from people with an interest in saying theres no global warming.

Also about the warming and cooling cycles I believe that but dont they take a while in the thousands of years not at the rate the temp has increased over the past hundred.

Also has there been any small scale experiments done on the effects of co2 and warming that could probaly shed some light on this subject.

OK Stocks, you seem like a decent man, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

NASA now begrudgingly confirms that the hottest year on record in the continental 48 was not 1998, as previously believed, but 1934, and that six of the 10 hottest years since 1880 antedate 1954.

I don't think so. The Antarctic is getting colder and the Arctic is slightly warmer. There is no increase on the equator.

I have come to believe this global warming thing is for real. I have noticed every July it is much warmer than April.

Any scientist that sez global warming is tosh can kiss his government grants goodbye.

Any organisation that employs a scientist who sez global warming is tosh can kiss thier government grants goodbye.

Most research in the academic world funded by taxpayers cash, and government tax breaks.

Most people won't bite the hand that feeds them.

Global warming is a government policy, like the anti-smoking policy.

Science takes a back seat to government policy because he who pays the piper calls the tune.

It's not rocket science, it's basic propaganda.

In my mind, there is no doubt that climate change is occurring.

There is also no doubt that we:

a. have little to do with it, and

b. can't do much, if anything about it.

This is a natural cycle. The Earth has been warming and cooling for millions of years. We're just a few thousand years removed from an ice age.

This issue is being politicized by both sides, but mainly by the Left. I wish it would go away because I foresee being taxed for this nonsense.
