Although he didn't hurt the team, I think last nights game was clear proof you can't just join a team midseason, practice for a week and then be on par with the rest of the players in the league. I don't care what kind of team he was skating with back home, it wasn't near NHL calibre. He is in pre-season mode while the rest of the players are in mid-season mode. I think we'll see him at his best in about 10 games, I just hope Canuck fans are patient and can wait that long for him to get up to speed with the rest of the league. As a Canuck fan I'm really looking forward to post-all star break with a game fit Sundin on the top line, and a healthy Luongo in the pipes.

Good analysis vancouver fan...

And dont forget Sami Salo Blasting away from the point and getting it on net....

Interesting tidbit from last night post game scrum...Alex Burrows said "It was nice not to be upagainst the top 4 defensemen all night"

Incase you missed it it was the burrows, kesler & bernier lines that turned the game with 3 goals in a 5 minute span in the 2nd. Burrows was refering to the fact that the Oil paid closer attention to Sedins and Demetria line and Wellwood, Sundin, Raymond line.

On a side note is Demetria the poorest off season aq. for the nucks. This guys scores alot of of empty netters and for someone who played in Minny he seems to be a defensive liabilty. Thought he would be better.

Yes - everyone just stay healthy and lets hit the playoffs rolling!
