Circular reasoning (Latin: circulus in probando, "circle in proving"; also known as circular logic) is a logical fallacy in which the reasoner begins with what they are trying to end with.
The fact is social distancing has always been the gold standard. Unfortunately X-hole and people like you don't seem to understand this and put an inordinate amount of emphasis on masks. Masks do no remind people to stay away from each other. In fact, it's quite the opposite. And the narrative of the media has indeed been masks. Stores like WalMart and other big box stores have stopped limiting the amount of people coming in and now just insist on masks (big mistake!). I can go on my neighborhood walks and easily keep 15 yards from everyone. I don't wear a mask (nor does anyone else) and it's no problem whatsoever. I wave to the police as they drive by. They are not going to cite me because they know it's well within the guidelines and safe for me to do. One can social distance without a mask and be very safe (sorry, you're wrong about that). However, the opposite is not true. If one wears a mask and does not social distance, that will be a problem. And yet, if you read forums like this and neighborhood apps all you hear about are masks but not social distancing. As stated, all the media wants to talk about right now are masks (same goes for my local paper).
In the 16 years I've been on this site, X-hole is the only poster I've ever heard of be put on a 3 day thread limit because of his redundancy. And what's even more amazing is for a guy that claims to know so much about this virus (x-hole), he sure is stupid to put at least a 10/1 ratio of masks posts, instead of social distancing. Honestly, at least if you're going to troll, be smart about it and do a service to the community. All he's doing is perpetuating a thought process that masks make you invincible by constantly posting about it. And to your point, if people aren't social distancing, then rationally that should be the emphasis....not masks! Your logic is completely misguided.
