I think someone would probably try. Especially when their life is at stake. But trying and doing are two different things...Half the gun owners out there don't even know how to shoot a gun. Including the gangbangers who point the gun sideways and wave it around..Those idiots almost very seldom hit the targets their shooting at or else we would see many more murders. The kid who shot all of those people at VT went out in the field on a regular basis and did target practice..He came prepared and he was pretty darn good with a gun. If you've been trained to kill and have shot a pistol on a regular basis, then you know how hard it is to hit a target in an emergency situation..Notice how the gangbangers shoot their pistols at random while waving it nervously around, and then look at how a cop uses both of his hands to hold his gun for support..And they move as little as possible when shooting it..If they have to move it's usually forward or back..Not side to side..I use to do alot of pistol target shooting..You think your pretty good until you have to move around..Then it becomes much much harder to shoot your target..It takes alot of practice.GoSooners, do you think in the VT campus shootings if someone had a gun on them they wouldn't shoot? Or they would miss. I can say better than the average person because I was trained to kill. But it's unlikely with someone coming down the hall looking for targets and anybody I know wouldn't hesitate to bust him when he came through the door.
