I am not talking about going to the game as much as going to a bar are party where the atmosphere is more fun than sittingn around with 4-6 people at someones house.

It's 105F here in the middle of the day

It better be damn worth it for me to leave the house during those hours. Smoke filled bars with overpriced drinks and annoying assholes ain't the atmosphere I care about. And even if I did, there is football three to four days a week for the next four months when the weather cools

Also, for half the games the choice is roll out of bed five minutes before kickoff or wake up extra early to shower, make coffee, put something in my belly, etc.

hellah10, that is hilarious. My kids are the same way. We live in a development with probably about 200-250 kids from 8-13 and you rarely see anyone playing outside. It's all this organized shit. At least we know where they are.

I used to enjoy it in my 20's. I really don't like to be around people when I bet unless they are fellow gamblers.

Exactly how I feel. Used to enjoy it, now I simply don't like people in general let alone when I gamble (unless I am in the casino).

I turned down free tickets to the Boise State/Oregon game to watch it at home.

Reasons

A) better view/replays
B) no beer allowed at the stadium, all the beer I want at home
C) I can piss and get back in time not to miss anything
D) Much harder to play poker at halftime at the stadium
E) No dealing with traffic
F) Comfortable recliner versus steel bench

I could really go on and on.

the internet and video games changed all that

ill see my 12 year old niece sit on her laptop all day playing webkinz and my 10 year old nephew playing call of duty... for hours and hours and hours

i have to drag them out so that they know a sun exists in the sky

the internet and video games are ruining kids. i remember the park here used to always have kids playing basketball a few years ago. but now its rare to see someone there. no wonder kids are obese these days.
