3 a bit young. At that age anything that begins muscle development is fine. A few general suggestions

1. Any sport the child enjoys that develops hand eye co-ordination is ideal.
2. The child will find his way to a sport he enjoys, support him.
3. Its fine to expose him to different sports, but try extra hard to not impose your own agenda.

I'm 76. At 12 I was 6'6. Of course all I heard was "basketball." Coaches, friends, my dad. I hated basketball, much preferred baseball and football. Pressure for kids is often counterproductive.
Let your kids find their own way. Good luck.

Any idea which sports should we introduce to the 3 years old kid? My baby spend a lot of his time in the toddlers swing, but I know there is no physical exercise in the swing. I want him to play a game which involves the movement of his whole body? Any suggestion?
Swimming is the the best activity to involve all your body.

Got to go with swimming . Not only is it safe but a peace of mind . drowning is no joke and knowing your kid can swim is a huge relief .
I have a swimming pool construction and service company and every year i hear of a fatal accident with drowning and it can be prevented , doesn’t take long for a parent to lose there focus of there child in a tub or any shallow body of water. It may not be the sport of your desire but well Worth knowing

Tennis…hand eye coordination, movement - change of direction, conditioning also good transition to other sports with those skills and arm strength from serving

There are plenty of sports suitable for them but I think going with the sports without much physicality wil be nice for you. Try swimming or track and field to build up their bodies and possibly give them a baseline for the other top sports.

Out with the swing, in with soccer! Just dodgeball you play with your feet!

Agree with messages further up suggesting to figure out what your child is interested in as a first, considering it also wouldn't be the best to "throw" the kid into something they won't like. With proper interest it becomes so much easier, than with something that isn't exactly a fit. Mine kicked balls and balloons everywhere, so soccer was kind of a given, but not the case for everyone.
