A ball took a wierd hop in front of Ozzie Smith, he not only managed to bare hand it he fired a lazer beam to first and got the runner.

I don't remember the year but I'll never forget the play. I knew that kid was "something special."

Sure was the best I ever saw !

I think Dave Stieb scratched his crotch 28 times at the 1984 home opener for the Toronto Blue Jays. There were some Kazakhstani fans behind me and I think I remember one of them shouting something about making a wrestle.

Two from me.

1) After having seen my first MLB game in RFK Stadium three years previous resulting in my becoming a Senators fan (though living in Texas), I was able to attend the first game in Arlington for the LittleRangers.

Longtime Senator slugger, Frank 'Hondo' Howard (The Capital Punisher) went YARD to deep center in his third AB and I became a fan forever of The Great Game.

2) Aug 8, 1977. The LittleRangers pull their first triple play. With runners on first and second, aging Oakland catcher Manny Sanguillen hits a hot groundball to 3B Toby Harrah who goes around the horn to Bump Wills and Mike Hargrove.

Unlike Felix Unger at Three Rivers, we DID see the play as it happened...

Watching QB Eric Crouch catch the 50 yard flea flicker TD against Oklahoma back in November of 2001. Perfectly executed play against a great defense.

Barman - good stuff, I saw big Frank play a few times with the 1971 Senators at Fenway. He played some 1st. and some Left field if I recall. Denny Mclain was on that team, I think he lost over 20 games that year for the Nats.

wil.

1- Ohio State wins 2002 National Championship in Tempe. Stayed at the Arizona Biltmore and can just remember hanging by the pool the day after in a state of total shock/joy/shalom.

2- American University upsets Georgetown (with Ewing/Floyd) at the Cap Center in 1981? I was an AU student and we all got laid that night!
