Per Se costs me some money but I once got a table at LIV for Kaskade on New Years and it was 10K - one guy split it with me - my dad took about 20 people to the French Laundry - different wine with each course at each table - he paid at least 20K

does putting in bet at the sportsbook to watch while you eat count toward the cost of dinner?

I would guess around $5-700 at A steakhouse in Naples called Andres. Now if we want to talk about bars tabs......

I can think of at least 5 of the in excess of $2k and the top being $5700 at Drai's.

Use to have zero respect for money

depending on what area you are in and what restaurant it is,i can see some tabs like that.Like you said in south beach im sure nothing is cheap there.New York also has some of the most expensive restaurants around and i know anyone can run a bill up there just by having fun at dinner with your group.

To a few who remember. Had dinner for 4, w/maybe 2 drinks each, less than $100. Circa 1957 Fairmont in SF. And in those days 10% was normal.

Have to admit that Betallsports has picked up a nice bill for dinner a couple times....

Always enjoy the company of him and his wife....

And the food always tastes better when it is comped....lol

I agree. Betallsports paid for a dinner for me at Cafe Martorano (Rio) paying off a bet. His wife is a real genuine lady.

To this day I thin BAS is kind of jealous his wife and I got along so well.

I was at my local hangout, a bar / restaurant , hanging at the bar with a few friends. A soldier came in holding a baby with I'm guessing his wife and one of their mothers. They went into the back area where there are tables. I called the waitress over and told her I was picking up the tab for the soldier and his party. She asked me on at least 3 different occasions if I was sure. The tab came to over $300. As it turns out, the soldier was home from Iraq for his fathers funeral and there were already about 20 people back there before he came in. The lady with him was his mother. She came out to the bar in tears to thank whoever it was that paid. Best $300 plus I've ever spent.
