Damn, if that's the case I could never watch any of these films because I saw 5 mins of hostel and could not comprehend how a normal person could watch something like that

Yeah no in all seriousness... some people claim these films are artsy and with that said they excuse the showing of despicable violence and sexual abuse. There are dark films that are masterpieces, Silence of the Lambs for example, and yet it shows no more gore than necessary. Watching this violence will leave nothing positive to your conscience and state of mind, will only bring discomfort, nausea, disgust, terror... not the emotions you long to feel when watching an "artsy" film.

I truly think these directors are sickos in their own right, or are just trying too hard to be "out there".... maybe both.

Having watched these films in my early 20s, I feel no reason whatsoever to come back and revisit if I already know I'm not getting anything positive. Might make an exception with Antichrist cause I watched inpaired to say the least and I do reckon the storyline seems way more "artsy" than freaking Serbian Film or Human Craptubes.

Faces of Death - very fucked up movie. One scene was a guy jumping off a building with a parachute that didn't deploy and showed him slamming to his death. The eating monkey brains was disgusting. Pretty sure they made more than 1.

HaHa yes...That was my first choice...It was all the rage when I was a teenager...Yes they made more installments...

Nobody has mentioned 8MM? Disturbed me.

thats about my limit on something I can watch from beginning to end.

But based On what I learned that movie is Disney compared to some of the other titles in this thread.

Google "sirbian movie" or Human centipede and get back to me.

No I have not or will not watch any of the above but if hostel is child's play compared to those 2 I could not comprehend even watching 5 seconds of one of those especially after reading the plots.

I liked Nightcrawler. The character was a creep.

Nightcrawler is cool, has great acting and a great plot, great cast too. No unnecessary gore. Hell, there is not even 1 torture scene in the whole flick.

Nightcrawler is artsy. I like it. Its in my collection.

Lol I took a girl out on a 1st date to see hostel when it hit the theatres... One of the dumbest decisions I ever made! There never was a 2nd date after that

My girlfriend at that time made me go see it at the I max in san fran. She knew I hated those type of movies. Caught her closing her eyes at one point and turns out she had already seen it. Just a few hours of hell!
