If you balk at the cost of attending a MLB game, just imagine going to a Superbowl with just 2 people and decent seats !

5k ?, Maybe 10 k ? Or even more factoring in say one night at a 3 star motel and airfare ( going economy class )

Bump it up to primo seats, 5 star hotel and 1st class airfare, has to be well over 30k, probably more like 50k ? , For a 3 hour long football game ! I could take a wife, GF or whatever and go to Europe for 2 weeks for that kind of money instead. You'd have to be a multi- millionaire to justify blowing that kind of coin on a football game. Who are these people that attend these games ? They sure aren't ordinary people like school teachers and bus drivers.

Even a regular season MLB game for a family of four is kinda pricey, or something like taking your GF to a concert could run $500, it gets pretty insane.

That's a pretty decent policy, but probably not the norm in the majority of stadiums, I totally agree about just eating before the game instead of at the game, you should be able to go 3 hours without eating, same for a movie, can't you Manage 2 hours without food if you had a meal right before going to the cinema ?

$40 to park, not from me, I ain't paying that. There has to be some sort of mass transit option for far less.why even drive in big cities like NY, LA, Chicago, etc. If parking is $40.

For baseball the best value is a triple A game if you live in a smallish city that has a team, I've been to probably 50+ AAA games in places like Colorado springs, and Las Vegas when I lived there, exactly 3 major league games in SD, NY, and Boston, triple A is so much easier to get to and pretty close to the real show, a hell of a lot more affordable too, almost free when compared to MLB ! Unfortunately CT doesn't even have any AAA ball, no pro sports team at all, I believe there was only one pro team , EVER... Hartford Whalers. No real city in the state, kind of in a void area between NYC and Boston
As my brother says Connecticut is a good place...

To be from

The White Sox parking is $20 and only $10 on Sundays. Their ballpark is right next to the Dan Ryan Expressway and is very easy access. Now Wrigley Field is literally in a residential area and not close to the expressway. Parking is probably $30-75 now. Its on the high end for night games. If you don't have a neighborhood sticker pass, you will get towed for $300. Its a major PITA at night, but they have mass transit that is a block away from the outfield entrance.

I'm looking at Class A All-Star tickets (South Bend Cubs) for june, $18. Concessions are very reasonable also.

My kids' little league actually has "marlins day" this sunday.

Each kid will receive a free voucher (parents have to pay). There are also 2 concessions stand having a 3-O-5 deal where hot dogs, popcorn, pretzel, nachos, water, and soda are $3. Tacos and draft beer are $5.

Not bad (funny b/c in past years, we would have to pay $20-$25 a ticket for "marlins day")

Those prices are certainly better than typical MLB prices , but still allows. huge profit margins for the vendor $5 for soda, water, beer.

I can purchase bottled water water for less than 20 cents a bottle including the 5 cent deposit, for like Poland Spring not the store brand when buying by the case, less than 35 cents for a can of Pepsi, draft beer costs about 75 cents . My point is the vendor has lots of profit margin selling at $5

Agreed...Usually when we go to marlins games, we spend a few dollars more and buy 1 "all you can drink soda" just so we can go back for refills....The problem is my kids are in the bathroom peeing half the game and i overdrink soda (i dont drink much soda)

Before we do to disney world, we will stop at a BJ's about 30 min away and buy 40 waters for $3. I then tell my kids to see how much water prices are at the park. Its $3.50 a water. Trying to teach my kids how NOT to waste $$

Your right best seat in the house. Can watch multiple games. Beers are cheaper at home& no parking fee.

Majority of Super Bowl people that arent millionaires are corporate seats, NFL players families, hookers, etc.

Those corporate sponsors get a ton of tickets.

Major college football is bad also. My ND tix were $100/game except for the two big games, those were $175 face.
