I think a big story that only the regulars will get, especially since it was relatively short lived is that time when RX decided to go woke.

They hired a couple authoritarian mods who got a kick out of banning people and censoring their words, expecially if they were Conservatives , changing/removing words in posts , labeling them with "disinformation" tags and the like.

I remember when they banned someone for posting a gif of Pennywise the clown in the RubberRoom of all places.

The place literally turned into a ghosttown overnight.....

Seems like it was just yesterday........:rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

There was a guy on here once putting out some good picks. Like always, he turned to accepting tips from RX followers. You could obviously see where this was going.

Then, miraculously, his laptop broke so he couldn't post picks. Some of these fools raised money for him to get a new laptop (as if his laptop was broken in the first place).

Then, as predicted, he wanted money for all his picks and when he didn't get the money, he disappeared like a fart in the wind.

Can't remember the guy's name.
Yeah, I remember Randizzle. College kid that caught fire for one college basketball season. Very clear from the start he was a scam artist.

ACE-ACE probably should be up there. Everything from how TheRx propped him up back in the day to what a mess he was

OOH man, I guess I didn't pay attention enough in here. Lots of stories I am seeing for the very first time. Yikes.
But I do miss the days when "sports talk" dominated the main page. I find myself scrolling through looking for a threads of interest, they are getting harder to find.

Definitely not the biggest story but got interesting for a while.
Who was the guy that won 6 figures at sportbetting and started posting picks where he always bought points then wanted people to pay for picks? Started scamming people or something
There is a big thread somewhere. Can't remember his name

Yeah. I remember that guy. Was like Mago-something.

I remember NFLTrends claiming he was going to start a business with him---i later asked him how that went and he said he set it all up and the guy ended up not having the money. Shocker.

Funniest part about him was he reasoning for buying points----so I can feel more relaxed when watching the games. Lol. Sound reasoning.

Posters on here actually paid him after that initial heater. I remember mods on here endorsing him. Then when he started losing which also forced him to start scamming the mods pretended they never endorsed him.

At that time he was the only one allowed a pick thread in the main forum. Another black eye for therx.

I could be mistaken, but I think it was NCAAF. Whatever sport, he had an amazing run. Then he claimed he couldn't post anymore picks because he needed a new laptop and asked posters for donations.

I "think" he went tout, and sucked. But who hasn't sucked after going tout? maybe Ace Ace had staying power, but I'm not sure anyone else has.

Many posters have magical runs, and we all suck sometimes. C'est le vie

"Ken "The Shrink" Weitzner, the phony psychiatrist and degenerate gambler "

-----------------------
Every single person on the Internet claiming to be some big winning sports gambler is on the same dance floor as that guy.

There is a reason why these people are looking to "help" you and just want to take tips.

That reason is because they don't actually win money at gambling. It is all a charade.

Guy was successful to an extent.

The problem is so many guys similar to him----the further they get ahead the further and faster they push the envelope thinking they are bullet proof....then reality hits fast and hard and quickly in desperation mode wondering how they could be so stupid and careless. Then the chasing starts and soon after if its in your DNA you off yourself as your last chase to be free of it all.

Ken got lucky starting this site in the perfect climate. Got lucky to sell at close to peak. Unfortunately he didn't perceive anything as luck and just skill. Which is understandable as not many of as when winning see good luck but when losing blame so much of it on bad luck. Which is why almost everyone bemoans themselves as being unlucky.

I have watched so many decent cappers over the years and its the same exact thing every time. When winning they have a nice decent unit size and when the losing starts---which is inevitable for EVERYONE, then the unit sizes always rise dramatically.

I have yet to see even one capper on a winning streak raise their unit size from 1 to 5x to 10x to 20x to god only knows what size but when losing this happens like clock work...almost every single time.

Then obviously if they win that huge bet its back to standard unit size until the next inevitable losing streak hits and eventually the chasing doesn't work and everything is lost.

Pretty much what Ken did...or our good friend Kingvit and his 40k bet to simply get back over even after years of losing.(those are obviously air bets)
