What's the big hype on Fedor?

What does Dana and Fedor have against each other. I know UFC wanted him to sign right? Why won't he?

UFC requires eclusivity contracts and Fedor's manager is the co-owner of M-1 Global so Fedor wants the freedom to fight for other organizations (like M-1). UFC says no way, you're either with the UFC or against it.

I don't think the Sambo tourneys are as big of a deal as they let UFC contract fighters fight in grappling tourneys like Grapplers Quest & Abu Dhabi.

Oh and as always, money is partially a concern but mainly it's the exclusivity

The man has fought in 30 fights and has 0 losses for all intents and purposes.

Not only that but he hasn't even lost a single round or been knocked down in all of those fights.

Considering that there's a lot of variance in MMA and even really dominant fighters get upset once in a while (see GSP, Faber, Penn, A. Silva), what Fedor has accomplished in the past 10 years is amazing to everyone that's followed the sport for longer than a year or so.

Hype is probably not the word to use with Fedor. You want hype, you should probably listen more to Dana White.

And Pride was pretty damn tough competition with no steroids testing to boot.

LOL to the guy who asked about Rampage vs. Fedor

I've watched him twice and you would think this guy is freaking Superman. I'm sorry but I don't see anything that warrants the greatness title. Yeah, yeah I know he's undefeated and blah, blah but I just don't get it. Arvolski looks like he got sloppy and he paid for it. Does anyone think there's someone out there that can give him a "L"?

I have been watching MMA since the early 90's. I have seen many many of things. I personally do not care for Fedor ( I have seen all of his fights). He is great, YES. Will he be beat, YES. Mark Hunt had him beat for 10 minutes, but fell with an armbar. There were 2 others also. He will go down with 2+ loses in the next 2 years. Against Linland, he cheated (holding the ropes). AA had him, he was stronger, faster, but did something he was not suppossed to do and lost. Fedor does not make any mistakes, but he will......

I think Lesnar could honestly give him some problems in a year or so after the big feller learns more sub defense.

I'd like to see him go against Cain Valasquez as well. That dude is the future of the heavyweight division IMO.

Who will he lose to? Give some names that he hasn't already beat? Barnett....doubt it.

Of course in his later years of his career he will most likely get beat once or twice. It's crazy to go basically undefeated this long in a sport like MMA.

He'd destroy Rampage and Lesnar would get sub'd if the fight hit the floor and ko'd if they kept it standing. With only 4 mma fights in his career Lesnar is nowhere near Fedor's league
