the economy always has recessions, we normally rebound from them quickly unless the government drops it's anchors, and then they create the great recession

W spent too much and mismanaged the war, if he had the surge from day one it would have been over years earlier and then Obama wouldn't have fucked up the entire region by pulling out and calling it "his greatest achievement ever", then blaming Bush when it all exploded in his face.
Bush cut taxes and that led to 50+ months of substantial economic growth, market growth, income growth, jobs growth.........., before a worldwide credit crisis sent us into a recession (which Barry made permanent)
Government is not the solution, you can't legislate Utopia, career politicians are blinded by some sort of intoxicating beltway fog that separates them from reality. They cannot micro manage the world, but they think they can and people have way too much faith in them.
On a final note, personal freedoms and large government are incompatible, just think about that for a second
Obamacare is a clusterfuck by every standard or measurement. Everything he promised was a lie, every prediction was wrong, it did the exact opposite of what it was supposed to do.
He owns the worst 8 years of economic growth since the great depression. The only thing that grew for eight years were welfare rolls and deficits
He's not perfect, and nobody is going to pretend he lived that career politicians life, every decision made to advance one's career.
But on the policy front, he's a dream come true for me.

I concur with the hate, it's seemingly everywhere. It's like people can't have respect dissent anymore.
As for my behavior, I try to be more respectful upstairs, as I am in real life. But down in the political sewer, anything goes, and I'm often times just pushing buttons.
