Keeping in mind Costa Rica is 3rd World, a clerk making $5 an hour best speak like a Gringo.....

My guess is 3 bucks an hour will get ya all the clerks ya need, rest is just waste down there.......

Funny thing is they assume books make tons and they deserve more.......Typical 3rd World, completely clueless

What does the employer get for 7 to 10 bucks an hour? What kind of education and skills? :think2:

That is very true, a good clerk/rep that actually makes it past the reception area and actually talks to someone important(manager or owner) can easily get between 7 and 10 bucks an hour.

Unfortunately for me I was making something in that range doing the same thing at the same place I am working now but I left to pursue another option that paid almost double unfortunately for me I realized I prefered hapiness and respect over a good salary. Now here I am back where I was making less than before(Im sure there is a lesson to be learned here) but atleast they hired me back as it is one of the best jobs I have ever had. Not burning bridges is very important in life, unless of course the bridge leads to a place that you would never want to return to then burn that bitch.

Just because CR is considered a third world country, do you assume clerks down here are third world? My take is the books make huge money and can pay clerks a little bit better and the good ones a whole lot better...

A multi-tasker with good work ethic, proper phone skills, and the ability to handle virtually any situation without "butchering" the call or needing to transfer the call to a manager.

If I didnt just hire a guy I'd bring you in for a tryout(like a baseball team LOL) if guy doesn't work out..I'll let you know.

We pay well for our CS guys.

Unfortunately I am very happy where I am at, but I appreciate that you would consider me. But then again money talks and location is everything.

The way I figure it, is that a clerk makes way more than a police officer or teacher down here and less than a stripper or hooker...can anybody dispute this fact!!

Not considered 3rd World, it is 3rd World..............Yeah I got no problem paying the top shelf clerks more, but in general you have noticed most these clerks after a couple of years start beleiving the should be getting 5 bucks or more. Why? I mean they are only need speak english, and most of em stuggle on the phones with a second toungue.....

For the most part, they are late more than a hooker getting laid outta Del Rey..Cry casue not allowed cell phones in the office....WTF All the while ya got NICAS busting thier ass down here in some shit job for like a buck an hour.........

JUST SAY NO, to a clerk looking for more of a handout

This is true.... Andrea Morales used to work with us at CRIS. She has a law degree, but made more working as a clerk until she won that seat in congress on the last vote and then she quit. Unfortunately she then preceded to act like an idiot and now they are trying to force her to step down. There are others that have been to college, but still make more clerking so they continue to work at sportsbooks...I couldn´t live off that salary though.... Rice and beans I can´t do everyday!!!!

So what about the clerks that come on time, and work hard ?

When we moved from CR to Panama we helped pay for the move and pay more to the people that moved we us.

It's like the old saying, you Get what you paid for !
