The total experience has to be college for me... I will admit that I am spoiled to one of the best tailgating (party) scenes in the world. If you've never been to the Grove on a big game weekend you are missing out. You don't need to bring anything with you. Almost every tent in the grove will invite you in. We will feed you, we will give you our alcohol, and we will show you an absolute great time..... LSU is the only exception to the rule. They hate us and we hate them..

If you want to come to the grove I invite you to come tailgate with our group. Bring your friends, wife, or come by yourself. Our tailgate isn't the fancy silver and chandeliers. All the men at our tailgate gamble. We set up 2 TVs and a seating area. Everybody there brings iPads. Its a pretty cool scene in the morning while the atmosphere is calm... All of the guys are sitting around the TVs talking spreads and plays and the women are getting the food and drinks set up... Young or old you're invited to come. Our core group are in our mid 30s... All of us in our 30s get there early and setup everything. From mid morning to around noon all of our dads, moms, kids, and random friends show up. We always set up a big breakfast and lunch... If we get the dreaded 11 o'clock game we will have a big lunch after the game and everyone stays and watches the CBS 230 game of the week. We hardly ever win the big game but we always win the party.

great story..

sounds like a rx bash waitin' to happen...

college and I was a Steeler season ticket holder but I went to UCLA/USC game last year with 100,000 other fans. the only thing I didn't like was paying $80 to park my car

When sharky99 and I went to a USC/Notre Dame game a couple years ago we each paid $80 to stay in a motel and paid $5 to take the train up to the game. It was a great atmosphere to be on campus just before the game to see all the tents on the lawns and people partying.

However, it didn't compare to Lincoln on a Husker home game day. The atmosphere inside the stadium is electric. Everywhere you look you see a sea of red and white. The stadium has been sold out every game since 1963.

Season ticket holder for college, but have been to 20 or so NFL games. College hands down, and it's not even debatable to me. Then again, if you didn't go to college and share that affection for a college, I guess I would understand somebody saying the NFL.

Depends on the schools. Some college teams/games are much better experience than NFL. You have a much better chance of picking up a young hottie in a college game than NFL. Most women/girls who attend NFL games are usually taken and they come with their bf/spouse. But in college shit ton of single girls attend with their friends and they are out there to have fun and show off more than to watch the game.

I did graduate from college and will say the NFL. Actually I prefer to watch the NFL at home for gambling purposes and the next day is work.

Just went to my first U.S. college game yesterday at Notre Dame.

The entire experience was pretty overwhelming. The campus was incredible. Huge for a school whom we were told had about 8000 students. I'm not catholic, or religious at all for that matter, but going into the basillica was amazing.

What really surprised me was how NICE the staff all over campus treats visitors. Amazing.

As for the game...it was fun. But the campus visit was what will stand out.

SEC football then NFL for going to a game or 2 but the NFL by far is better than college counting the whole season if that makes sense

NFL for me

glad you enjoyed your trip Bruins

Yeah, that Cleveland vs. Jacksonville match up sounds awesome!

Hell, even a dud of a game like last nights Tennessee vs. Utah State game had the full game college experience going (if you watched it, you know what I'm talking about).

Sure, Miami of Ohio vs. Central Michigan may not be the best game experience ever....but there are no $300 tickets to that game either (and there are to the Cleveland/Jax game).

Big Time SEC games are amazing...even if it's not one of the traditional powers (Bama, Auburn, Florida, etc). The atmosphere is out of control. Every single play has tension.
