When gambling began to interfere with my personal family life. I was spending so much time online (both on the road and at home), that my wife actually thought I was having an internet affair. Was also taking away too much time from my kids. But that is just me, I'm sure others are able to hndle this alacing act better than I was (I travel a lot so family time is limited as it is).

Running out of $$$ will usually do it. Getting angry with spouse and friends. Affecting work or family life.

Nothing...nothing can make me stop..not even a man draped in diamonds. The pleasure I get when I win is orgasmic

Or maybe I'll keep the diamond draped man around in case I lose all my money.....

They might next year BTW. Labor problems. Hope they get a new contract ironed out before any lockout happens.

[as Dr. Evil] One million dollars. I bet to win money. If I had a cool million to replace the betting I would quit. Gambling sure makes life more interesting but not as interesting as having $1,000,000 to invest in my own business.

A grocery strike until I find gainful employment. Perhaps my local bookie is hiring.

if I gave into compulsion, made a chase play with my entire bankroll, and lost it because a team gave up a 21 point lead in the last 3 1/2 minutes of the 4th quarter. Then I'd tell myself I was through, finished, then in a couple of minutes I'd go check the lines for next week's games and apply for some credit cards.

I will bet as long as its legal. If online betting is outlawed, then of course I will refrain from beting. To break the law would be wrong.
