The bottom line is that boxing just isn't what it used to be and the Derby is the most exciting 2 minutes in sports year in and year out every year and it's been that way for decades. Now, if we were back in the 70s or 80s, when great boxing rivalries happened numerous times every year and boxing was actually exciting to watch(Leonard, Duran, Hearns, Hagler, Pazienza, Arguello, Pryor, Ali, Frazier, Norton just to name a few) and one of those rivalries was on the first Saturday in May, then it might be a closer poll. And no, I'm not quite 75 yet,lol.
