i agree if you are trying to take steps to make amends then sbr should be open to consideration and although i don't know you or sbr you do seem sincere about what you are saying. there are so few decent sites to get info about offshore books that even if sbr is right 1/2 the time that's leaps and bounds ahead of just about everything else out there when it comes to watchdog sites. you have to take what you see there in context with whatever other resources that are out there and make a judgement but it is most definitely better to have sbr than to not have it

Over the past few years I have had accounts with over 60 books in all, though I only use about 15 to 20 now.

I regularly read SBR reviews and compare them to my own personal experiences of the books. Very rarely do I find cause to differ with SBR, and certainly their A rated books I doubt anyone could quibble with.

I can quite understand why folk from certain books would disagree, and admit to being 100% biased against:

1. Books which slow pay.
2. books which void bets for no valid reason.
3. Books which fail to settle bets at the terms or amounts at which they were placed.

I do not deal with such books - one strike on any of these conditions and you are out as far as I am concerned.

This probably explains why I have not come across some of the posters flaming SBR.

Dante,
On the contrary ... SBR has always been "decent", but the addition of Willy adds a degree of trustworthiness to SBR.

Not saying Buzz is not trustworthy, just saying that most of know that Willy is.

Will is more than just a gentleman. He is passionate on fair grades and an incredibly smart, hard worker who knows everyone. We welcome comments on ratings, we get a ton of them already which is very helpful. It's not easy to accurately rate 400 sportsbooks. A lot of them are like Oldfriend who insists MajorBetting should be an A+, Slim and Barry who can't understand why they are D rated after slow paying, ect.

SBR continues to invest to get better. We are genuinely trying to do our best in a tough industry of non-disclosure, fake rumors, a secretive culture between bookmakers, sammers and the rest.

Slow pay incidents are very scary and often signal the beginning of the end. Once the slow pay starts your balance has become an even chance bet basically which can either lose or break even. Not a very good deal if you ask me. I'm glad there are rating agencies out there that are tough on books that have slow pay problems. It's important for the players to know the difference between shops that just say they're solid and the ones which really are.

Good post, peskypup

though I only use about 15 to 20 now.
So many?

Here in Asia the European football has become like the Caribbean on American sports. You have all these websites that offer 7.5/10 cent lines. To name a few:
www.gstar88.com
www.jp168.com
www.singbet.com
www.dmnc123.com
www.centurybet.com

Obviously you will get the 0.025 extras using them all and in order to get enough on, one may have to use them all, but personally I do not see where these guys are making their money! It is mainly local bookies that are using them and that is simply smart money. Now some of them are being DOSed too. I want to stay away from them as much as possible!

Most interesting if this place, accross the street or that 911 stuff come up with some comment on a book, guess what most posters will do? Exactly, I bet the same as what I do, go to www.sportsbookreview.com to get it confirmed.
More interesting is now that accross the street the Major says something bad about SBR in relation to WSEX and Grande, so I went to SBR and I could not find any of it, so I went back to accross the street and had to read the whole thread (what a fvcking waste of time) to see what was really the matter. Oh, SBR only took them of the recommended list and replaced them by another book. No case of no or slow pay or a up or down grade.

Darryl,
The fact that the Major makes so much noise about this already shows how many posters actually respect SBR very much.

SBR,
Some time ago you went to Asia. When will you come up with ratings on Asian books?

acw,
We will open an office in Asia in a few months for SBRAsia.com. As you could probably guess, that SBR site will be tough because of all the different languages we have to translate the site to.

I must have misunderstood what they were trying to say across the street--confusing to say the least.

Just tell me one thing. Is Sportsbetting.com rated above WSEX?
If so--Iwon't read any further.

OMT,

WSEX is rated A- and is listed under the recommended list as "under consideration". Sportsbook.com is neither on the recommended list nor "under consideration" and is therefore rated lower.

I would be curious why WSEX was taken off the recommended list and also why this significant action was not listed in the notes section (or if it was where is it because I couldn't find it?)

Buzzsaw,

Is the site going to be an Asian language site to attract customers to those sh*t books in the Caribbean? If so, do not waste your time on it, as it will be one drama after the other. Asians are much sharper and want much higher limits. Your recommended books like VIP will be ripped apart!

Or will it be a site with Asian books? If so, then you do not need to worry yet about all the languages. English will do for a start.

Lander:

Your post was unfair. Hell, Will just got there and now he's responsible for all the ills of the world?

Buzz:

This is a nice statement:

We welcome comments on ratings, we get a ton of them already which is very helpful.

But you don't even give the courtesy of a reply. I have sent you several e-mails just trying to facilitate 'clean-up' of your ratings and my points were acted upon, but my messages never replied to. At least have the courtesy to acknowledge such acts.

SBR Asia will recommend only Asian books. I think we have the Caribbean in pretty good shape.

We would love to have your help.
