Walk of Life,
Everyone in this biz, including you and I have had motives when we post...
Regardless of the motive, Roberto did have it right when he warned everyone about ASAP...
Now what is your MOTIVE questioning ROBERTO?
Please respond...
Thanks,
Ken
Well, you see Ken... I have always been skeptical as for the motives of everything. So, to me this is just one more day, one more question. In this industry of undercapitalized operations, it remains to be determined if a 'warning' does indeed keep players from getting stiffed or if it actually accelerates the process.
I wanted to know if Roberto had a list of customers that were being slow paid prior to his 'pre-warning', and that might have explained the whole thing... he was trying to help players that had come to him for assistance. If that's the case, answer the question and be done with it.
Roberto calls me a 'testa di cazzo', precisely because I make questions nobody else asks. That's just how I trip. And coming to think of it, any aspiring public figure needs to understand there's accountability for the things he says and does... if Roberto does not like it... too fvcking bad.
But let me post one of his answers at OGD:

Many have been blamed in the past for acting the way Will is suggesting in this thread ( I recall Krack in the NAB case ). I believe watchdogs have the task to report these cases, since the outcome can only be either the book making good for his committments ( like ASAP just did ) or stiffing players anyways. Covering up to favor some players who will end up getting the money of other punters unaware of the book's financial distress is wrong. I'd rather be accused of pulling the trigger too fast than be accused of favoring "buddies" by hurting unaware victims.
He might as well have answered there. As I said before, I'm not questioning the issuing of the 'pre;warning' per se, but the motives.
You asked about my motives, I answered. How hard is it for him to answer the questions?
If you guys think it's good to keep the books on their toes, I think it's extremely healthy to keep the 'watchdogs' on their toes as well. Personal accountability, Ken... a very simple concept.
