I was and still am a Cubs fan. I was a kid, it was Cubs vs Mets. Cubs are down 7-0...and there is a light rain. Cubs load em up for Jody Davis...the crowd is chanting JO-DY..JO-DY..and he hits a grand slam!..Next up Palmeiro...BACK TO BACK...within 2 runs!! Well the cubs go on to lose 23-10...lol

Last Tuesday's night game at Wrigley when it was a fast game that lasts 2 hours and 20 minutes with Alou's 3-run homer and Clement's pitching gem on a 2-hit shutout.

One of the most exciting things i've seen at a game.....It was Cubs vs Sox...and if your not from Chicago..you probably have NO idea on how heated this rivalry is! Everytime they play there are numerous fights breaking out in the stands..."Cubs Suck"..and "Sox Suck" shirts can be seen everywhere..its pretty brutal. So I am a cubs fan..and we are at Comiskey. Cubs are losing by 2...its the top of the 9th...2 outs...last chance...man on for Sosa. Now he is like 0-4 with 4 k's...and the sox fans are just loving that. The place is just rocking..just as many cubs fans as sox fans. World Series atmosphere. First two pitches are strikes....and the place is going crazy! Next pitch comes in and Sammy swings....and the place roars...so your not quite sure what happened...and then i saw the HOP. Sammy hit a 2 run homer to tie the game! It meant nothing to the world of baseball...but at the moment..it meant everything to the 40k in that building...pretty sure the cubs lost in XI though..lol

Never mind that game 6 of the 86 world series. A lot of Red Sox fans are still in therapy because of it, so please don't refer to it in the future as it can cause a lot of psychological damage.

Thanks, wil.

Ok last one. This is a good story that involves gambling...so listen up! lol Friend and I go to Vegas last year for like 3 days. We decide to shoot over to Arizona and catch a Dbacks game. We fly in, catch a cab to the park..watch game...catch cab back to airport..and back to vegas..how sweet! So we do. Before we leave my buddy places various bets including the Under in the dbacks game in probably 4-5 parlays. Randy Johnson is on the mound going for his 20th victory of season. They are playing the Dodgers. We get there...we have seets about 5 rows up from pool. Awesome park. His under is looking good, it is 5-0 i believe heading into the 8th. He has under 7 BTW. We go for a walk around the park to see everything before we leave. In the bot of 8th...the dodgers walk the 8 hitter to get to Johnson who promptly hits a 2 run double! Game is now on 7...still a push for his straight bet and all his parlays. BTW the other 4-5 games he used in pars keying AZ under all came in...just waiting on this game. So we decide to watch top of 9th from center field. Shawn Green comes up and hits the ball right at us! I lean over this rail to try to catch it, and the ball goes under the railing and bounces behind me into the open walkway where my friend is standing...he goes to run for it and slips on the dusty concrete and falls down...rolls over...and two people going for the ball step on him!!! Needless to say he didn't get the ball...and the homer made him lose all of his parlay's and his straight bet! And for a souvenier he got a fractured toe!!! I was laughing so hard at him laying on the ground i almost died. Thats my fav baseball game story to tell.

What are the odds on fracturing a toe at a ball game? Sounds like your friend was less than happy on the flight back to Vegas. Good story.

Phillies 23 Cubs 22

Wrigley Field--strong prevailing SW wind of course.

Funny thing is my first wife and I had planned on going to the beach but decided the wind was too much to deal with in terms of blowing sand.
So we went to the game.

Dave Kingman I believe hit three. One LANDED three houses down the street that runs north from Waveland Ave.--forgot the name of that street.

Mike Schmidt hit the final one--a game winner.

Remember also Bill Buckner hit a grand slam.

Steve Ontiveros scored the tying run before Schmidt's homer which I believe was in the top of the tenth.

I think the tragic Donnie Moore started for the Cubs. Lots I forgot but this was the best I've ever seen.
